Currently {Life in April}

Hello friends!

It’s April! Can you even believe it?

We’ve been so lucky to have enjoyed some lovely Spring-like days lately and, even though it’s surely months away yet, this gorgeous weather has got me dreaming of all things Summer!

With Carson turning four (yes, FOUR!) this month and even more renovation plans in the works, we’ve sure got a lot to look forward to!

We’ve been SO hard at work on our hallway makeover (watch for the full reveal tomorrow!), our master bedroom closet and a few other behind the scenes, top secret projects (can’t wait to spill the beans on some of those soon!). But my friends, as crazy as March was, April is shaping up to be our busiest month yet…

You see, we’ve decided to take part in the One Room Challenge. For those of you that are familiar with it, you know that this is no small feat. Making over one room in our home in just six weeks is pure and utter madness really. It’s absolute chaos, totally overwhelming and incredibly stressful.

But, t’s always so worth it in the end!

We’ve done it before with Carson’s cabin-themed bedroom and of course, our farmhouse style master bedroom – so we know just what we’re getting into. Except this time will be a little bit different…

I cannot wait to share what we’re up to!!!

For now, here’s a quick update of where I am currently …

 

Reading: I’m slowly making my way through this list. I just opened up this one the other day and friends, it’s absolutely brilliant so far!
 

Writing: After months of getting asked about it, I just finished up writing out this tutorial to show you how we covered our popcorn ceilings with farmhouse charm.

 

Watching: We’ve been binge watching the newest season of House of Cards!
 

Listening to: All sorts of brilliant chats on Periscope.
 

Needing: A pretty Spring wreath like this one.
 

Creating: We’re knocking out all sorts of projects and cannot wait to share them!
 

Learning: Okay, this month I really am going to learn how to use my new Instant Pot because it really is INCREDIBLE!!!
 

Planning: Our third ORC room makeover!!! #whatwerewethinking
 

Loving: My homemade morning lattes, which pair perfectly with this everyday granola.
 

Dreaming about: Summer!!!
 

Wearing: My new boots!
 

Coveting: This dreamy cottage style bathroom!!!

 

Working for me right now: Living life with more intention.
 

What’s not: Trying to get ahead of that never-ending to-do list. Ugh!
 

Anticipating: Carson’s fourth birthday!!!
