The Built-in IKEA Desks that are Inspiring Us
Sharing all of the built-in IKEA desks that have been inspiring us lately as we plan to create our own built-ins.
Things are ever-so-slowly moving along with our second floor renovations. We’ve been plugging away at Carson’s new bedroom space these past few weeks – emptying all of the construction materials out so that we could get some paint up on the walls and some trim installed around the doors and windows. It took a little while to put together some design plans for this space, but now that we’ve got things figured out, it’s exciting to finally see some progress happening in here. Last weekend, I managed to get the walls all painted out and I’m head over heels in love with the rich, warm grey colour we went with.
Now that the walls are painted, Brady can get the new hardwoods installed and then we’ll be moving onto the built-ins. We’re actually planning to add a couple of built-in pieces – a wall of cabinets + shelving for C’s stereo and collectables (check out our inspo for that here) and a built-in desk area for the little nook pictured above. We’re thinking we’ll make use of some IKEA pieces to put this little desk nook together (much like we did with our closet). I’ve been saving up all sorts of IKEA hack inspiration for months now and today, I thought I’d share some of the built-in IKEA desks that will be inspiring our own.
