Rounding up our favourite area rugs for boys’ bedrooms.

We’ve been slowly collecting ideas for Carson’s new bedroom for months now. While it’s become a storage area for all of the supplies for our ensuite bath at the moment, now that the drywall is all finished up, we need to start getting some paint on the walls so we’re ready for the hardwood install that will be coming soon.

While C has some big ideas for this space (catch up with our plans for the space here), and we definitely want to help his big personality shine through in here, it’s important to us that this room is also one that can grow with him for many years to come. Finding the balance between what he loves now while anticipating his needs through his teenage years has felt a bit tricky – I’ve been trying my best to hunt down options for C to choose from that are versatile enough to work with several different looks. So far, we’ve rounded up some great wallpaper options (though he’s not convinced he loves the idea of wallpaper, but I’m working on it). Today, I wanted to share some of the area rugs we’ve been considering for the space.
