Hello friends! Welcome to July!!!
Seriously, though – how can that be right?!
I couldn’t be more excited that Summer is finally here! These warm, sunny days won’t last long (especially here in northern Alberta), so you better believe we’re going to revel in that warm sun as much as possible!
Last Summer was a busy one in the Mercer house, with each and EVERY weekend filled up from June until September. Though it was fun to go on so many adventures, this Summer we’ve been extra careful not to fill our calendar too full – though it’s fun to have some things to look forward to, there’s definitely something to be said for leaving some room for spontaneity and a little R & R.
And so, though we’ve got a couple of camping trips booked with family and friends, we’ve also left a couple of weekends free for some more spur of the moment fun too! *Not to mention a few reno projects we’ve got in the works!*
Ahhhhh, bring on those long, sunny days of Summer!
And now, here’s a quick update of where I am currently …
Reading: I’m about 100 pages in to this new book & it’s been a really good read so far!
Writing: Just sitting down to write up our master bedroom closet reveal post – can’t wait to share it!
Watching: I wish we had time to sit on our butts and watch anything right now.
Needing: A new coffee maker. My brother recommended this one and I have to say, I love the idea of freshly ground coffee in any size brew!
Creating: An office space all my own!!!
Learning: How to look after potted plants (without killing them!). Here are some great tips that seem to be helping so far!
Planning: A massive curb appeal makeover! Can’t wait to share more soon!
Loving: My homemade morning lattes, which pair perfectly with our new fave breakfast.
Dreaming about: Long summer days with the family!
Wearing: I’ve been living in this gorgeous dress!
Coveting: All sorts of gorgeous farmhouse decor finds … {sigh}.
Working for me right now: This brilliant planner.
What’s not: Trying to juggle it all. When will I learn?!
Anticipating: Long Summer days!!!
I’d LOVE to hear where are you currently? What’s new and exciting?
Now please excuse me while I curl up with my latest read & a morning coffee…
Wishing you SUCH a lovely week!

Keeping busy as always huh? Hope you’ll get to enjoy some lazy time this summer. Sure did enjoy seeing your bathroom renovation, wow, did I love it, envious also. You two did awesome job, very talented twosome. What’s next? Imagine your little guy is growing like weed as kiddos have habit of doing. How old is he now?
Any vacation plans or have you been and back already? Obviously have missed few posts.
We went to San Diego on 6/22 to see oldest son and his two sons visiting from KY where they live with their Mom. Only there for 2 weeks this summer since oldest son had job to go back to. He’ll be junior at college in KY earning his chemical engineering degree with full ride scholarship. His 18 yr. old just graduated high school brother has yet to decide what he’ll do. We hadn’t seen them for 6 yrs. so was great to spend time with them.
Year ago this past April son came up to put new roof on our house.
We managed to squeeze time in to visit IKEA (our 1st. time) and Home Goods. We have Tuesday Morning here in Grand Junction which seemed very much like Home Goods only better.
Last Monday we left to visit good friend in Tucson, AZ. for just Monday and Tuesday. Last time I was there was 2008 for our 50th. high school reunion. Then we had to get back to relieve our pet sitters who took great care of cat, dog and five chickens..
Could have stayed gone for weeks since this was 1st.vacation for us in several years. Boy did I need to get away. Hubs didn’t seem to care. I’m gypsy around here, always love to travel as I used to go with him when he was trucker.
Didn’t mean to dominate comment. Look forward to your posts. Happy week
