Can you believe it?! Somehow another year has come and gone in what I can only describe as an instant! And what a year itโ€™s been!
2015: A DIY Year in Review - my favourite DIY projects of 2015 @ www.makingitinthemountains.com

Having moved back to our hometown in Northern Alberta and of course, taking on our very first fixer-upper, 2015 has been a monumental year for the Mercers. And let me tell ya, I’ve had SUCH a blast sharing each and every step with y’all along the way! Iโ€™m SO incredibly grateful for each and every one of YOU for following along with our crazy, unpredictable, wonderful journey!

To celebrate the year ahead, I just couldnโ€™t help but take a look back at how far weโ€™ve come. So, kick back with your morning coffee my friends and enjoy this trip down memory lane as we take a peek at our DIY Year in Review.

{January, February & March}

It all started with a move back to our little hometown in Northern Alberta. We purchased our first ever fixer-upper and have been hard at work making out visions for it come to life ever since…

{April & May}

After playing a bit a lot of catch up and settling in after the move, we finally got to work on our new (to us) home. In April we took part in the One Room Challenge, signing on to makeover one room in our house in just six weeks. After almost a year of dreaming up this Rustic Cabin-Themed Bedroom for our little man, I was so excited to finally make it come to life!

It was an absolute whirlwind, but totally worth it in the end!

Filled to the brim with all sorts of DIY projects like this Plank Wall, Wood Wrapped IKEA Shelf & of course, my fave, the Upholstered Wingback Headboard – this room was was a true labour of love!
