This DIY Faux Fireplace is sure to bring cozy character to any room!
Well, good morning friends!
You may remember that we’ve signed on to take part in the One Room Challenge, making over our Master Bedroom in just six weeks. Let me tell you, there’s definitely no forgetting it in this house! I swear, I’ve done nothing buy eat, sleep and breathe all things farmhouse bedroom for weeks now. I’ve got a list of things to do a mile long at least and we’re ever so slowly making our way through. I have to say, I’ve been dying to share this beautiful DIY Faux Fireplace tutorial with y’all for weeks now – though we only just finished it up a few days ago, this fireplace has been on my mind for ages!
I’ve been dreaming of a master bedroom with it’s own fireplace for years now. I just love the warmth and character that they bring to a room! Unfortunately, installing a fireplace in our bedroom just wasn’t in the budget this time around, but I’m thinking this DIY Faux Fireplace might just do the trick!
But, you’ll have to pop over to AKA Design to see how we put it all together!
*UPDATE* See how we styled it in our Farmhouse Master Bedroom here.

Lady you are creating the most gorgeous things for you home!!! Well done. I wish I could actually make decent changed to the home I live in but can’t… it’s a rental. Can’t complain though. When you get to live somewhere for free you really shouldn’t be complaining at all! The perks of the expat life ๐ xx
Thanks so much Maria! Yes, living in Europe for free sounds like an absolute dream!!! xo

Thank you SO much Katrin! That old window is still one of my most favourite finds and that wallpaper is actually a stencilled wall if you can believe it! Thanks again!
I love this! What a great addition to your master bedroom. Now you’ve got me looking at my own bedroom for ORC ๐ Thanks for linking up to The Creative Circle. Can’t wait to see your finished bedroom!
Thank you Jen! I’ve known for months that this was the room that we needed to tackle “next” – what girl doesn’t need a cozy retreat to snuggle up in after a long day?
This is beautiful!! Thanks for sharing at Your Inspired Design.
Thank you SO much Holly!
How gorgeous…and creative! I am coming over from Moonlight and Mason Jars. I have been thinking about putting an electric fireplace in the bedroom…but they are costly! I really love your DIY idea and I’m thinking it might be a better choice for my own room. Thank you for sharing. PS- I love your site and followed everywhere I could:) Christine at Must Love Home
Awwwwww, thank you SO much Christine! What a sweet comment to wake up to this morning! I’m so happy you love it! I really do think this was a great way to add the warmth and character of a fireplace at a fraction of the cost and I’m so happy you agree. Wishing you a wonderful day!

Thank you SO, SO much McKenzie! I’m so happy you love it! I’m really excited about how things are coming together!
I am in love with your simple mantel. I painted a chalkboard in a faux mantel in my shop space last year and now that I have a real one in our new house – I would almost rather have the chalkboard. Hahaha….
Beautiful! I am pinning!
Oh, how neat!!! Thank you SO much Holly!
Hi there Kristi How have you been? Been while since I “talked” with you so hope all is going well. Sure looks like it if your bedroom fireplace is any indication. It’s very classy looking with how you’ve styled top of mantel and chairs in front of it. Very nice. Did you and your hubs make the surround? Have’t gone to other blog indicated yet to find out how you made it. Trying to get caught up on blog past reading. I seem to get behind too easily. Been busy making some gifts, having dr. appts. and keeping this joint liveable.
How is your little guy? Hope he’s doing very well. How are you liking where you live now?
On Dec. 7th, will be having my right shoulder replaced. Have no idea how that goes but somehow think it might be more uncomfortable than my knees being replaced was. Am bit apprehensive but has to be done, poor old thing is worn out, my functionality is not up to par these days.
No biggie will get thru it as did both knees. Pretty soon I’ll be bionic woman, lol.
Enjoy the seasons and hope to hear from you when you have a chance. Happy week
Hi JaneEllen! It’s great to hear from you!!! We’ve been redesigning our master bedroom, which has completely taken over our lives these last few weeks ๐ Looking forward to things slowing down this Christmas season though (wishful thinking perhaps!). Wishing you luck with your surgery my friend and here’s hoping you have a speedy recovery! xo
This is amazing Kristi!! I’m SO impressed with the final product! AH-Mazing! I’m featuring the project at the Talented Tuesday party tomorrow ๐
Oh yay! Thank you SO much Lindi!!! I’m so happy you loved it enough to share!
Where are those chairs from?? I LOVE your style!
Thank you Emma! The chairs belonged to my hubby’s grandparents and I absolutely adore them!
Kristi, thank you once again for something that I know I can build…minus the arch, lol ๐ I’ve wanted a fireplace for a long time, but renting in a new singlewide doesn’t allow for that but now I can build one! I’ll be having my coffee here with you every morning just to keep up with all the beautiful things you do.
Awwwww, Debbie! You’re sweet comments just melt my heart! I’m SO happy you love it! It’s brought so much warmth and character to our bedroom – I’m sure it would be a great addition to your home too! I’m thrilled that you’re finding inspiration that you love here – it makes me so happy to hear how much you’re enjoying everything! Thank you so much!!!
