Sharing A Quick Update On All Things {Currently}…
Happy December friends!!! I can’t even believe I’m saying that. Though December is by far my favourite month of the year, I can’t help but wonder where the heck our November went.

With December rolling in, the advent calendar(s) are officially out and we are in full on holiday mode around here! Carson actually has two advent calendars he does each morning (it’s SUCH a great motivator to get his little butt out of bed and ready for school on time!) – we’ve got an old felt tree (pictured above), with a cute little velcro ornament for each day (and a little chocolate stuffed into each ornament pocket too). And, because I couldn’t resist it when I saw it, he’s got this super fun Lego Harry Potter advent calendar too (which just so happens to combine two of his very favourite things!).

We also started reading this adorable advent book. With 24 1/2 chapters, there’s a chapter for each night until Christmas and then a 1/2 chapter to read Christmas Day. Our whole family gathers in bed to read it together and it’s really become something we all look forward to each night at bedtime.

Christmas is of course, in full swing here on the blog as well – I’ve already shared our nostalgic feeling tree and main floor decor with y’all and I’ve got loads more holiday content coming at you through the next few weeks.

In other exciting news: we officially joined the snowmobile club with the purchase of our first snowmobile last week. Carson’s SO excited he’s hardly slept a wink since we brought it home. We got ourselves all geared up this weekend with goggles and helmets and even picked up a passenger seat to snap onto the back, so we’re ready to ride when the snow comes. We’ve got a large community of snowmobilers around here, with trails just out our front door, so we couldn’t be happier to have another fun Winter activity we can enjoy with our family and friends.
I also managed to finish up the last of my Christmas shopping, taking advantage of the Black Friday sales this past weekend. We keep our shopping pretty simple each year, making plans to travel with our families rather than exchanging gifts (I absolutely adore this idea!!!) and just buying presents for our nieces, teachers and of course, Carson. I always try to get my holiday shopping done by the end of November, but that’s where my preparedness seems to end as I always find myself wrapping them all at the very last minute.
We’ve got a pretty busy week ahead with 4 hockey games (and that’s just for Carson!), a piano lesson and a Christmas recital at our local senior home. We’re also looking forward to sneaking off to the city for a night away to take in the Nutcracker ballet with Carson. It’s sure to be a bit of a crazy week, but we feel so lucky to have so many fun things to look forward to. I’ll try to take you along as much as I can on Instagram, for now, here’s a quick update on where we are currently…
CURRENTLY.
Reading: I couldn’t resist picking up this Christmas read, not only because of the holiday season, but also because I always adore a fun Sophie Kinsella read!
Writing: This year’s holiday bedroom tour. Here’s a peek at last year’s tour…

Watching: All the Hallmark Christmas movies!!! I just can’t get enough.
Needing: A new planner for 2020.
Creating: I’ve got my knitting needles out and can’t wait to show you what I’m up to!
Planning: All the holiday projects! What would you like to see first – our dining space or porch all decked out for the holidays? Here’s a peek at last year’s dining room and holiday porch.
Loving: My new espresso maker! After months and months of research, I couldn’t be happier with my choice!
Wearing: My favourite cozy flannel pj’s.
Coveting: I think these plaid frames are absolutely adorable!
Working for me right now: Starting my day with a walk. After walking Carson to school, Charley and I love to take in the fresh, crisp air with a wander through the trails.

What’s not: So many ideas for projects I’d love to make (and share), but so little time.
Anticipating: All the fun + magic that the Christmas season brings!

I’d LOVE to hear where are you currently? What are you most looking forward to in the month ahead?
Wishing you SUCH a lovely week!
