This farmhouse Christmas Dining Room looks so perfectly cozy all decked out for the holidays!
It’s here, it’s here, it’s FINALLY here!
Okay, so technically our new dining room space has only really been finished up for a couple of weeks. In fact, it was just a few short weeks ago that we even decided to take it on (find our design plans for the space here).
Oh but friends, it feels like I’ve been waiting an eternity to share it with y’all!
If you’ve been following along with us for a while now, you’ll know that we’ve taken on A LOT of projects around this old house (find them all in our project gallery here). Working our way through it all room-by-room, to transform this house into the farmhouse of our dreams.
We’ve worked SO hard and come SO far. And though I’ve truly loved each and every project we’ve taken on…
This one…
This dining space…
Well, it might just be my very favourite yet.
Even though it’s not quite finished – we still hope to replace the flooring with hardwood, paint the walls with something a touch more grey (see my favourite wall colour in our hallway space here), and of course, ditch that awful popcorn ceiling, but that will all have to wait for when finally get around to tackling the rest of our main floor.
But, even with those imperfections…
This dining room space somehow feels so perfect.
Honestly, each time I look at it, I find myself in one of those moments.
You know, the one that just takes your breath away. The one where you can’t help but smile at the fact that not only do you get to live in this beautiful space, but even more special than that, you actually created it.
Okay, enough gushing (bust honestly, have I mentioned how in love I am with this space!).
After about a zillion sneak peeks, here it is my friends…
Our new dining room space!
Obviously, we started with some gorgeous furniture from The Brick. I fell hard for this rustic Hancock Park dining set.
The distressed white paint and weathered wood top were a perfect fit for my farmhouse style and I love that it can expand to seat 8-10 comfortably. Plus, how gorgeous are those end chairs!!!
It looks so pretty all set for our holiday dinner (find all the details on this Christmas tablescape here).
Of course, with it’s shiplap sides and vintage inspired windows, I couldn’t resist the matching curio cabinet from the Hancock Park line as well.
I’m so excited to finally have a place to display all of my pretty dishes and kitchen decor!
And finally, for even more storage (is there ever enough?!), I decided to go with something a bit less traditional, this Hancock Park dresser. It has the same rustic shiplap and all the pretty details as the rest of the Hancock line and I love that it lets that beautiful wall behind it shine through.
Speaking of pretty walls … I am head-over-heels in love with that board and batten wall! It brings so much dimension to the space! It was really SO simple to create and I can’t wait to share the tutorial with y’all soon.
And that special piece I’ve been waiting years for …
I’ve had my eye on this incredible chandelier for ages now and I couldn’t be more excited to see it hanging in our new dining space!
Even though I’d never actually seen it in person, it’s truly everything I imagined it would be!
And finally, I grounded the entire space with THE MOST beautiful and luxurious wool rug from Plush Rugs.
It brings such a rich and cozy texture to the space (and does such a wonderful job of hiding those awful vinyl floors!).
Friends, I am just absolutely adore our new dining room space!
