It’s Maaaaaaaay already friends, can you believe it?!
SO far, it’s shaping up to be a pretty awesome month to come…
First of all, I can’t help but shout from the roof tops how happy and excited I am for my little brother to marry his most perfect match! They’ve planned to share it all with their closest family and friends through a small ceremony and dinner before they take off on a plane to Europe the next day. It’s all so totally them and I can’t think of a more perfect way to kick off their lives together.
As excited as we are about the wedding, if you were to ask our not so little man, the biggest news of all would be that we’ve officially got a four year old in the house!!! We are SO happy to be celebrating his birthday tomorrow with a dino-themed party! We’ll be spending our afternoon with our family and friends swimming and snacking on cake … I don’t think I’ve ever seen him so excited!
And of course, in other news – you may remember that we signed on last month to take part in this little thing called the One Room Challenge.
For those of you that are familiar with it, you know that this means we’ve basically been holed up in our bathroom for 5 weeks straight. Making over one room in our home in just six weeks is pure and utter madness really. It’s absolute chaos, totally overwhelming and incredibly stressful.
But, it’s always so worth it in the end!
You can check out our grand plans for the space here & catch up with our latest reno adventures here.
I cannot wait to see it all come together!!!
And, because we’ll have definitely earned it, I’m thrilled to say that we’ll be spending the second half of May down in sunny Mexico! My inlaws have a fabulous place in the sweetest little town just north of Puerto Vallarta and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to travel down there as often as we can and even more, to share the experience with our little man and his Grandpa and Grandma!
We’ve certainly got a lot to look forward to this month!
And now, here’s a quick update of where I am currently …
Reading: Just picked up this new book and, though I’m only a few chapters in, the whole idea of it is very much resonating with me!
Writing: Just about to sit down to work on this month’s plan to live with more intention.
Watching: I wish we had time to sit on our butts and watch anything right now.
Needing: A pretty Spring wreath like this one (still).
Creating: The farmhouse style bathroom of my dreams!!!
Learning: How to tile. Why did I think it would be a good idea to try this for the first time when we’re SO crunched for time?! (Read more about it here).
Planning: A well deserved vacay if we ever make it through this bathroom reno!
Loving: My homemade morning lattes, which pair perfectly with our new fave breakfast.
Dreaming about: Heading off to Mexico!!!
Wearing: My new boots!
Coveting: I’m dying to treat myself to one of these!!!
Working for me right now: Living life with more intention.
What’s not: Completely gutting and making over our bathroom in just six weeks … ugh.
Anticipating: SO many things – my little brother’s wedding, C’s fourth birthday party, my first bath in our new bathroom, and of course, that trip to Mexico!
I’d LOVE to hear where are you currently? What’s new and exciting?
Now please excuse me while I curl up with my latest read & a morning coffee…
Wishing you SUCH a lovely week!
