A quick little update of our life currently.
After a wonderful long weekend, today is definitely a Tuesday that feels more like a Monday around here. It was my favourite type of weekend (on top of being long that is), filled with a perfect mix of productivity and fun. We tackled a ton of little jobs around the house, mostly outdoor stuff to get the yard all ready for Winter. On top of that, I spent a whole day baking away in the kitchen, putting my new sourdough starter to work in all sorts of fun new recipes (they all turned out amazingly well). Baking is one of my very favourite ways to spend a day, especially the crisp Fall kind. While I was busy in the kitchen, Brady finished up the last of the tiling in our ensuite – I am SO thrilled with how it turned out and he is just as happy to have that big, tedious job behind him! ๐ And last, but not least, the countertops and backsplash were installed on our vanity yesterday. After all the work we put into hunting down the perfect material and then playing around with all sorts of different shapes and curves for the backsplash, I couldn’t be happier with it! This vanity has been such a labour of love (this whole space has been really), I cannot wait to get the plumbing installed so we can finally see it all finished up!
While we managed to get a ton done around the house, we also had some great visits with family and friends throughout the weekend. Having been so busy this past month, it was so lovely to have some extra time to catch up with some of our favourite people and enjoy the beautiful Fall weather together! It really was the perfect weekend, I hope you enjoyed yours too!

CURRENTLY
Reading: This audiobook has been keeping me company on my commutes lately and I’m really loving it!
Needing: I need to get some curtains and throw pillows ordered up for our new bedroom space. They’re the very last things on my list for that space.
Creating: Now that we’ve got our own bedroom suite figured out, I’m excited to start working on Carson’s room.
Loving: SO excited about this rug I ordered up for our new walk-in closet.
To Do: So many things. Between school, home and renovations, I hardly know where to start these days! ๐
Wearing: From teaching to running errands, I’ve been living in these shoes.
On my wish list: I’ve been on the hunt for a coffee table for our study for more than a year now and I think this one might be just what I’ve been searching for.
Planning: As we move onto installing the doors and trim throughout our primary suite, I’ve been trying to nail down a design for C’s bedroom, which will be coming up next here.
Working for me right now: While it’s been a ton of work, I am LOVING being back in the classroom again. I hadn’t realized how much I missed spending my days with a classroom full of kiddos.
Whatโs not: Making dinner. While I’m used to meal planning (I’ve been doing it for years now), I’m struggling to find quick and easy dinner ideas that I’ve got the time an energy to actually cook. We’ve been testing out Hello Fresh for the past few weeks, but it’s been pretty unreliable for us so far. I’d love to hear if you have any great resources or meal delivery services that you love.
Anticipating: Don’t hate me, but with the cooler Fall days rolling in, I’ve found myself dreaming of cozy Winter nights in front of the fire. I really LOVE Fall, but Winter is a close second in my books.
