Weekend Reading #195
A quick little update & my favourite reads from the week.

Happy Friday friends! How was your week? Ours felt pretty busy around here (seems to be the way these days). Carson’s been taking part in afterschool sports most days, sometimes even going from one to the next before dinner, but he’s loving the chance to get involved in some new sports and make new friends. I’m still knee deep in curricular planning – teaching a new grade is always a ton of work, but I’m honestly loving every minute of it! I think part of that is that I’m only teaching three days a week, which really helps me to keep some semblance of balance in my life, leaving me some time for blogging, baking, reading and family time even with my many hours of curricular planning outside of school. Last weekend, I spent a whole day in the kitchen baking up all sorts of new sourdough recipes and it just felt like the perfect way to welcome in Fall.
On top of all the regular hustle and bustle every day, we’ve managed to finish up a few jobs in our ensuite bath as well. Last weekend, Brady finished up the last of the tile work in our shower, which means the tiling is officially complete! On top of that, our vanity countertops were installed this week and they look even prettier than I’d imagined (see all the photos here). It’s been SO exciting to see each little piece that we put so much thought into coming together. Next up will be plumbing, doors and then we can finally move onto all of the wall trim throughout our primary suite, which is the part I think I’m most excited to see! Not sure what we’ll get up to this weekend, but you can follow along through Insta stories if you’re curious.
