A quick little update & my favourite reads from the week.

Happy Friday my friends! How was your week? Ours was SO busy with school, hockey, a couple of little projects around the house and not one, but two full days in the city – sourcing some materials for our Primary Bathroom and picking up our new sofa for the Study (I can’t wait to share it with you, planning to post some photos on Instagram this weekend!). Needless to say, it was a very full week around here and the weekend ahead is shaping up to be much the same. With a couple of hockey games for Carson, a few house projects to tackle and of course, a bit more Christmas decorating thrown in for good measure, we’ll definitely be all sorts of busy, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Brady’s been hard at work on our Primary Bathroom these past couple of weeks. While we’ve renovated several bathrooms now, and have a ton of experience in moving, removing and/or building new walls, working around the in-floor radiant heat running throughout our home has taken things to a whole new level. With the existing radiant heat lines attached to the sub floor, it’s made every job exponentially more difficult and with that, infinitely more time consuming. Pulling up the old subfloor, rerouting the bathroom plumbing to accommodate our layout changes and then replacing that subfloor has been a bigger job than we’d anticipated, buuuut, the good news is, we’re finally ready to start framing out the new walls. SUPER excited about that my friends! Planning to share some updates here on the blog soon.

On top of all that work in our Primary Bathroom, Brady also got this little light changed out in the Study. While I didn’t mind the old one, this one is a much better fit for this little corner and I love the warm glow it throws while I drink my coffee in here each morning. I can’t wait to curl up on our new sofa in here with my latest read this weekend! Planning to share some updates on Insta, so stay tuned my friends.

And now, here are my favourite reads from the week…
Weekend Reading

This estate home designed by Studio McGee is absolutely unreal!
Is the risk worth the reward? Decorating trends you may regret.
What are your thoughts on colourful bathrooms? These 5 design ideas might just leave you feeling inspired to add some colour to your own bathroom.
LOVED this list of 50 ideas to spark joy this holiday season.
I’ve been trying to hunt down some camel brown flocked ornaments for our tree this year and can’t seem to find them available anywhere in Canada (though I’ve found several in the States that won’t ship across the border). This DIY textured ornament tutorial from my friend Christina has me thinking I should try making my own textured brown ornaments instead. Aren’t they SO lovely!

Planning to cook up these crispy brown butter smashed potatoes this week.
I’d also love to try this masala chai latte recipe – is there anything cozier than sipping a chai latte?
And finally, here’s the Insta feed I can’t stop scrolling this week…
