Sharing a Quick Update On All Things {Currently}…

Well May, you’ve sure got a hard act to follow. Between our amazing trip to Mexico and the incredible Spring weather we got to come home to, well, we really couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful April.

My inlaws live in the cutest little town on the west coast of Mexico, about an hour north of Puerto Vallarta and we are so lucky to not only have a lovely place to stay right next to the beach, but they are such wonderful tour guides, taking us around to all the best restaurants and shops and helping us explore all sorts of lovely little towns nearby. This time around, we spent some time exploring San Francisco (know as San Poncho to locals) – checking out the beautiful beach, some fabulous restaurants and the most lovely little golf course.

Brady and I also had a couple of nights to ourself in one of our favourite little surf towns, Suyulita. We stayed in the most incredible boutique style hotel, with a beautiful balcony overlooking the ocean. We discovered it on our last trip to Mexico and when we walked the lovely grounds, we knew we had to come back to stay sometime.

My favourite part is that each of the rooms is unique, nestled right into the mountainside, overlooking the ocean.

There were quite a few steps to hike up to our room, but it was SO worth for those views.

We had so much fun exploring Suyulita and enjoying all of the incredible food and can’t wait to go back again!

Best of all, though we left for Mexico with a bit of snow still left on the ground, we were lucky enough to come home to some sunny, Spring weather. On top of the mountains of laundry I had to catch up on, we also had a ton of yard work to get cracking on (though I’m happy to have an excuse to spend all the time I can outside!). With the yard whipped into shape once again, Brady and I are already planning away all of the outdoor projects we hope to accomplish this Summer. I can’t wait to share more!
In the mean time, here’s a quick little look at where we are currently…
Currently.
Reading: It wouldn’t be a vacation without a book (or three). While we were gone, I plowed through I Let You Go, Circling the Sun and Her One Mistake. I actually enjoyed all three a lot and would definitely recommend. On my nightstand right now: China Rich Girlfriend (I am totally loving this fun series!!! You can find the whole series here).

Writing: This month’s cozy living post (while snacking on the yummy desert I whipped up for it!).
Watching: Not much honestly as I’ve been reading every spare minute I can find lately. But, I am eager to watch Crazy Rich Asians after falling in love with the book series.
Needing: Some large planters for our front porch – really loving these ones!
Creating: Another board + batten wall in the house, keep an eye out on Instagram for some sneak peeks. In the mean time, you can find the tutorial here.
Learning: Brushing up on all the gardening tips before we get planting this month (check out last year’s garden here).
Planning: Some pretty major changes to our exterior and hopefully a bit of landscaping too.
Loving: This gorgeous walnut cookbook stand. How have I made it this long without one!
Wearing: All the Summer flats and sandals – hooray!
Coveting: Speaking of Summer flats.
Working for me right now: This incredible Spring weather!
What’s not: Finding the motivation to work after coming back from our holiday (I always struggle so much with this).
Anticipating: All the Summer projects!!!

I’d LOVE to hear where are you currently? What are you most looking forward to in the month ahead?
Wishing you SUCH a lovely weekend!

I had no idea Crazy Rich Asians was part of a book series! I loved the movie so I’m totally going to be adding the series to my list for this summer.
I haven’t seen the movie yet, wanted to finish the books first, just one left to go now.
