Sharing My Favourite Reads From The Week Just In Time For The Weekend.

Well my friends, it’s been a busy couple of weeks around here – catching up on house projects (I’ve been touching up all the paint around the house this week – I know, exciting right?!), hanging a new gallery wall (find the frames I’m using here), filling the freezer with a bit of baking again (I love to load up our freezer every few months for quick lunches and snacks – find my lemon donut recipe here), and of course, celebrating a certain someone turning seven!

After a very full couple of weeks, I’ve got to say, I’m so happy to see the weekend rolling in! We’ve got some fun plans for the weekend ahead including building a few more raised garden boxes for our veggie garden (find our super easy plans here) and hopefully getting everything ready for planting next weekend. And, in honour of Mother’s Day, I’m really looking forward to spending some time with my Mom and Grandmas this weekend, catching up over some tea + sweets and even better, shopping the greenhouse together for all of this Summer’s plants (my Gran is a master gardener and I’m so excited to have her help shopping this year!).

As you can see, I’ve clearly had gardening on the brain lately! After watching Spring come and go a few times through the last couple of weeks, here’s hoping we’re done with the snow and Spring is finally rolling in for good! I cannot wait to get all those veggies in the ground!

But for now, while the house is still quiet and my coffee’s still warm, here’s what I’ll be catching up with…

Caramelized banana oatmeal. Need I say more?

Wishing you a lovely weekend my friends!
