Oh my goodness friends, we may be knee deep in drywall dust, but we’re sure not letting it keep us down.
Christmas waits for no renovation.
Which is why, when Jenna at Wife in Progress invited me to take part in a Home for the Holidays tour, I jumped at the chance.
Now if you’re just popping in from this beautiful family room space at Noting in Grace, you may be wondering what exactly all this renovation talk is about – feel free to pop over here to read all about that madness. Basically, our entire main floor is in shambles and, though I know it will all be worth it in the end, I’m struggling a bit with all the dust and chaos that comes with a major renovation. Especially when we’re doing it all ourselves. And even more, especially through the holidays.
As you can well imagine, our life is nothing but mayhem + chaos at the moment. Really, it would be so easy to give in to the stress and mess of this renovation and just push aside all the extra clutter that Christmas can bring.
But the holidays are such a magical time for our sweet little man and even with everything else we’ve got going on at the moment, I just couldn’t help but spread some holiday cheer around the few spaces in our home that aren’t in total disarray.
So, last week I shared a tour of our bedroom all decked out for the holidays…
And this week, the Holiday home tour continues with our family room space…
With our entire main floor taken over by renovation chaos, this is truly the one and only space that we can all gather together as a family right now…
Luckily, it’s one of our very favourite spaces in our home!
We love to spend these cold Winter nights gathered right here on this comfy custom sofa that we designed with The Brick…
Did you know that The Brick makes custom furniture?
Now, there’s no doubt that you’d be hard pressed to find a fellow Canadian that hasn’t heard of (or probably shopped at) The Brick. But, do you think I could find one person that knew that they actually offered custom furniture options?! Even better, not only are they soft, cozy and comfortable with beautiful fabrics to choose from, they’re the least expensive custom upholstery option on the market, making them an incredible value! And our very favourite part, each piece in their Designed 2B collection is manufactured right here in Canada!
There’s no better way to get exactly what you want than to design it my friends and with the Designed 2B collection from The Brick it couldn’t be simpler to create the perfect sofa for your space, your style and your life.
This gorgeous sofa has become our very favourite spot to cozy up together all year long.
Most evenings we’ve got a puzzle spread out on that gorgeous Artesia Trunk Coffee Table (read more about how we refinished that here). I love that it’s big enough for everyone to gather ’round and the flip open top makes it a great place to tuck away all of our board games + puzzles.
And usually there’ll be an old Christmas movie playing in the background on our TV.
Pulling out all those old Christmas videos from when Brady and I were kids is one of my favourite holiday traditions to share with our little man.
And of course, we’ve always got the the tree spreading its magical glow over us all…
Carson loved hanging all of his favourite ornaments (and Mom only had to re-hang a few of them)!
I’ll tell you, with so much on our plates at the moment, this cozy family room space has been the perfect spot to gather together this Christmas season…
