How was your week my friends? Ours seemed to fly by with a blink.
We had a ton of exciting events filling our days this past week. Carson had his first official ski competition last weekend in Jasper. He was pretty nervous leading up to each one of his runs, but in the end, placed second for his age category in the SlopeStyle competition. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him so proud of himself!
I also managed to sneak away for a night to the city with a friend. We didn’t go in for anything in particular, just a bit of shopping, a few fancy cocktails and a whole lot of amazing conversations. It was the perfect mix of fun and relaxation that we were both needing. Honestly, I was amazed at how recharged I came back feeling from something so simple. It totally set our week off to a great start and I found myself thinking over and over again that I need more of these simple little getaways in my life (especially after two years of virtually no travelling!).
Another highlight of our week was our night away in the city with Carson, taking in the Masters of Illusion show last night. Somehow it was even better than we’d imagined! SO worth the two years of waiting through countless re-scheduling.
And now, after a very busy past few weeks, I think we’re all looking forward to a quiet(ish) long weekend ahead. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Easter weekend my friends!
