A quick little update & my favourite reads from the week.
Happy Friday friends! How was your week? Ours actually felt kind of long and slow around here for a change – I’m chalking it up to our hockey season winding down and all of the free evenings that it’s absence has suddenly opened up in our schedules. Definitely no complaints around here though, I think we were all ready for a few low-key evenings around the house together. The weather has without a doubt played a part in our slow week around here too – Winter came back with a vengeance, dumping more snow in one week than I think we’ve seen through the entire rest of the season. While everything looks so lovely covered in a blanket of white, it’s definitely feeling more like December out there than the first day of March. The boys couldn’t be happier about all the snow – they’re off to Jasper to take advantage of all this snow with a weekend of skiing.
In other news, our dryer stopped working this week, so I’ve been on the hunt for a new laundry set. I’ve hated our washer since the day we moved in and, while it’s definitely inconvenient to be stuck without a dryer at the moment, I’m super excited to finally have an excuse to replace our laundry machines! It’s been a few years since I’ve shopped for laundry sets, any recommendations to share?
I’ve got to say, I’m looking forward to a slow, quiet weekend ahead. Planning to do some baking (I’ll share some recipes on Insta once I decide what I’m making), knock out a 12k run (I’m training for a half-marathon this Spring) and hopefully spend lots of time curled up with a book in front of the fire (here’s what I’m currently reading).
