And here we are again – another lovely week behind us and a sunny LONG weekend ahead.
Here in AB, May Long is notoriously snowy, cold and miserable, so I hate to jinx things with too much enthusiasm about this year’s beautiful forecast, but after the longest Winter in the history of ever, we’re sure ready to enjoy some sun through this first long weekend of the Summer!
Traditionally, May Long Weekend is for planting all the things (you know, when it’s not snowing anyway). And that’s just what we’ll be doing…
I’ve waited ten long years for a garden of my own and this weekend, my dreams of growing my very own vegetables will finally come true! We’ll be clearing out a corner of our yard, building a big old raised garden bed and of course filling it with all the vegetables.
It’s going to be a ton of work, but I’m so, so excited to spend the summer tending to our own little crop with Carson.
There’s no doubt we’ve got a busy weekend ahead of us, but in between it all, here’s what I’ll be catching up with…
WEEKEND READING
Everything I don’t yet know about planting and taking care of my own vegetable garden – but this looks like a great place to start!
I dream of someday having the chance to build our own home, I think this post about floor plans + budget cuts is chalk full of so much great information and suggestions!
I’m head-over-heels in love with this light + airy family room space!
And this gorgeous master bedroom space totally has me swooning too!
I can’t wait to dig into this great read about the best fabrics to build our wardrobes with.
Who says the real deal is the only way to go?
And I couldn’t agree more with this take on minimalism + parenting.
Thinking we need to plan a few fun hikes around AB this Summer.
I could tour this cozy modern home all day long!
We’re looking forward to another wonderful weekend in the sun! Wishing you a lovely weekend as well my friends!
