This farmhouse Christmas porch is so cozy and full of charm!
Hello, hello friends!
I’m so happy you’re here!
The most wonderful time of the year is officially upon us…
And I couldn’t be more excited to be teaming up with some amazing friends to bring you some truly gorgeous holiday decor inspiration through our All Through the House Christmas Tour!
As I sit down to write this, snow is falling from the sky & everything is covered in a beautiful blanket of white.
It just wouldn’t feel like Christmas without it.
As much as I love to decorate the inside of our home for the holidays…
My very favourite Christmas decorating has always been what we put up on the outside of our home. I think it’s such a special way to share the spirit of Christmas with our neighbours and all those around us.
SO grab yourself a hot cup of coffee, bundle up (it’s COLD out there!) and join me as I take you on a tour of our farmhouse Christmas porch!
We worked so hard to create a beautiful porch space this Fall (you can read more about it all here).
And then, we went even further replacing our windows and shutters (find that tutorial here). They’ve made SUCH a difference to the look and feel of our home!
I couldn’t resist hanging some beautiful flocked wreaths over each one to really add some of that farmhouse charm!
After all the work we’ve done to create such a pretty exterior, our old house numbers were looking pretty sad, so we decided to replace them with a gorgeous address plaque from Atlas Signs and Plaques. I really think it has such a commanding presence and the classic look fits in so perfectly with the rest of our farmhouse style porch!
There’s nothing like a traditional pine wreath to hang on the front door…
And of course, a few lanterns and a simple welcome sign beside it all brings a even more warmth to the space.
Our beautiful outdoor sofa from The Brick is looking cozier than ever with some pretty plaid and luxurious fur pillows.
And this vintage canister looks so pretty with a few snowy sprigs tucked inside.
I tucked a few snowy greens into our vintage window box as well.
And finally, a bit of Christmas themed art on our vintage door chalkboard…
And we had ourselves the coziest farmhouse Christmas porch around!

Thank you so much Chelsea! I absolutely adore those wreaths too!
Kristi! I just love your cozy front porch! It is just beautiful! I love that your antique door has a permanent place! It looks so nice and your Christmas message just adds to everything! Love how you have put wreaths on all your windows. Those flocked wreaths are so pretty!
Again, Kristi, you have done such a great job of decorating your gorgeous home! You have a real gift! Blessings to you and your family at this wonderful time of the year! Enjoy all your hard work!
Thank you so, so much Mary-Ann! You always leave the sweetest, most encouraging comments! I’m so thrilled that you love it as much as I do! Wishing you and yours the very best this holiday season as well my friend!
Hi Kristi! Wow, your porch is amazing! I adore the shutters that you made. What a cozy, welcoming space you’ve created! And I can’t imagine how gorgeous it must look at night with all of those lights. Amazing job!!
Thank you Laura! I just love how those shutters brighten everything up! And yes, it looks SO pretty at night, but my favourite is first thing in the morning – as the sun comes up, it just seems to glow! Thanks again Laura!!!
Awesome front porch Krista. Really love it and all the work that went into making it look so inviting. All the creative details really work together and make it sooooo homey! The comfy couch is just a perfect touch with the pillows and blanket. WOW I can imagine (bundled up) sitting there reading on a nice sunny day.
Such a wonderful job!
Deanna
(Quebec, Canada)
Thank you so, so much Deanna!!! Living in Quebec, you know how cold and snowy our weather can be (we’re in AB), but we also have those beautiful sunny days where -5 almost feels like +20 … I can’t wait to curl up out here with a book! Thanks again!!!
I’m so jealous of that big, beautiful front porch and the gorgeous snow!
Awwww, well thank you so much Jenna!!! We’ve got SO much already, I’d be happy to share! 😉
It looks just adorable. I love it. How did you hang the wreaths on the windows… just a nail above the window trim? Also wondering how you hung the flocked garland around the door.. nails as well? 🙂
Thank you! Yes, we used deck screws to hang everything (which just happen to be very similar in colour to our siding). 😉
You have a beautiful home, Kristi. LOVE that outdoor sectional and that door!!!
Thank you so, so much Lauren!!! We love curling up on that cozy sectional!
hey girl love your porch! SO pretty!
Thank you so, so much Shawnna!!!
Lovely, Kristi! I love your chalkboard door and all of your pretty outdoor decorations! xo
Thank you April! I’m so happy with how it all came together!
What a great porch space you have, Kristi! Everything looks beautiful! Love that cozy couch! Hope you’re having a wonderful week!
~Abby =)
Awwww, well thank you Abby! I’m so happy with how it all came together! Wishing you a wonderful weekend to come my friend!
Your porch is so charming! I bet it is even more gorgeous at night with the lights. It’s a great space and farmhouse decor at it’s best!
Thank you so, so much Laura!!! I love the way it greets our guests with a ton of Christmas cheer!
Love love love your porch! I like that it is winter-y and farmhouse-y and classic instead of just red and green everything. This looks like the perfect place to curl up with a hot cocoa!
Awwww, well thank you friend! I absolutely love how it all came together!
Your porch is beautiful, Kristi… and so is the whole front of your home!! The snow is the icing on the cake! And those wreaths on the windows are adorable!! Merry Christmas, friend! xo
You are just the sweetest Kendra! Thank you so, so much my friend! Wishing you and your family the merriest Christmas too! xo
What is the color of your exterior colors? I love the cedar accents, exactly what im looking for!
Thanks so much Amanda! I’m not really sure of the colours, it was painted like this when we bought it a few years ago, but we really love it too. I’m so sorry I can’t be more help!
I had the same question about the exterior paint color. Have you happened to have found a color that was fairly similar to the color by chance? Some pictures it looks blue and others it appears more green, I wasn’t sure on the exact real life color.
thanks!
Hi Jordon, after a bit of searching, we’ve been able to track down our exterior paint colour – it looks like it’s a custom mix from the previous owner purchased from Home Hardware – if you send me an email at [email protected], I can forward a photo of the colour make up if you’re interested. It’s more of a blue colour in real life, but definitely has hints of green tones too, especially in the warmer evening sunshine. Hope this helps!
So cute! How did you hang your wreaths on your windows?
Thanks Tiffany! We used nails in the siding just above our window frames.
I love all the details on you porch. I have a chair and crate outside my front door and sometimes I never know what to do with them, so this is great inspiration. I’ve added this to a holiday porch round-up with link back and pinned.
Oh my goodness, well thank you so, so much for sharing Erlene! Happy holidays my friend!!!
