Happy Friday friends! I hope you had a wonderful week!
It may not look like it from this photo, but we made a ton of progress in the yard this week, filling our 7ft deep plumbing a sewer trench and running the gas and electrical out the new garage site. We’re currently waiting on inspections, but hope to have everything filled back in and levelled out through the upcoming week. In the mean time, Brady will be working on breaking up and removing our current patio to make room for the new deck supports to go in (if you’re wondering what exactly we’re up to, check out last week’s Weekend Reading post). Then, hopefully we’ll be ready to finally start construction on the new deck! #fingerscrossed

In other news, schools are opening up around here next week, so Carson will not only get a chance to meet his teachers and classmates this upcoming week, but he’ll also get his first glimpse of his new school, which is very exciting! In fact, we’re off to the city today to finish up some back-to-school shopping and pop in to Costco to stock up on snacks for lunches (it’s actually our first time shopping in the big city since Covid hit in March). Aside from our city trip and a trail ride or two, our weekend plans will mostly consist of working through as much as possible in the back yard – we’ve got an awful to get through before the cold + snow start roll in!
