Weekend Reading #212

A quick little update & my favourite reads from the week.

We’ve had a wonderfully slow start to our summer around here, which is exactly what we all needed after a very jam-packed June. Unfortunately, Brady is still working what feels like non-stop, which means we haven’t been able to plan much in terms of vacations this summer, but Carson and I have been enjoying filling our days with some more low-key adventures around home – paddle boarding, fishing, and all sorts of visits with family and friends. I’ve also been taking full advantage of these long, slow days with some gardening, baking, a few house projects, and of course, as much time as I can sneak in curled up with a book. We’re still hoping that Brady’s work life will slow down enough for us to take some time away in the mountains before summer is through, but in the mean time, C and I plan to enjoy all of the beauty that these slower summer days bring. This truly is what summer is all about!
