Weekend Reading

Sharing My Favourite Reads From The Week Just In Time For The Weekend.

Happy Friday, my friends! And even better, happy March! I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t be happier to see March rolling in! February may be the shortest month of the year, but somehow it always seems to feel like the longest.

Aside from the odd few minutes bundled up in every piece of winter clothing we own to brave the cold, we’ve spent most of the month hiding from the coldest temperatures we’ve seen all Winter – it’s been 3 very long weeks of being stuck inside and I don’t think there’s a single person in all of Alberta that isn’t hoping that March brings with it some warmer temperatures.

Between a sick kiddo, a new (and also sick) pup and a husband that’s been traveling a ton for work, it’s been a pretty hectic couple of weeks around here. Thankfully, things finally settled down a bit this week and we all seemed to work back into our regular, more predictable routines once again.

Our newest addition, Miss Charley, is settling into the family perfectly so far – finally catching on to all the effort we’ve put into potty training and enjoying all sorts of adventures with her big brother Carson. She really is the sweetest thing and we feel so lucky to have found her!

We’ve got a big weekend ahead as the boys (Brady is coaching Carson’s hockey team this year) wrap up another hockey season with our home tournament and team party. The end of hockey season is always bitter-sweet – we’ve been so lucky to be a part of such close knit teams so far, so it’s always hard to say good-bye, though we’re very much looking forward to all the Summer sports that lie ahead.

With everything going on behind the scenes lately, things on the blog have been rather slow, but I’ve got big plans to catch up with things through the week ahead! #wishmeluck

But for now, while the house is quiet + still, here’s what I’ll be catching up with this weekend…

  1. Wishing Carson all the luck at his hockey tournament tomorrow! I also loved this post on self-care, especially the part about treating yourself everyday (it just makes way more sense then waiting until you’re a mess and then needing an entire weekend to re-charge).

  2. Oh my, my. Hope you are back on the road to feeling better after beating the winter germs. My Grands have shared everything brought to school in January and we are exhausted. I have chores to do and here I sit looking at eye candy on Instagram and fashion on YouTube. Thank you for some lovely inspiration.

I can't wait to hear your thoughts?
