Weekend Reading #197

A quick little update & my favourite reads from the week.

Happy Friday my friends! It’s been far too long since I’ve found the time to sit down and write. Between teaching, renovating and all of Carson’s after school sports, our calendar has felt pretty feel lately, but I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way.

If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you’ll know that we’ve been making slow, but steady progress in our ensuite these past few weeks. With the tiling behind us, Brady’s moved onto putting up all of the shiplap and trim. It’s been pretty slow and tedious work with so many things to cut in around (including a sloped ceiling), but he’s nearly done now and I cannot wait to start painting it all out. Once I finish up the painting, we’ll be able to install all of the plumbing fixtures, medicine cabinets and lighting and then it’ll just be a few finishing touches before we can call this room done. With each step, it’s amazing how much closer this space feels to “finished” – it’s been SO exciting to see our vision for this room slowly coming to life! Here’s hoping I’ll be able to start painting soon, guess I better figure out which colour we’ll be going with. ๐Ÿ˜‰

And now, here are my favourite reads from the week…
