Sharing a quick little update & my favourite reads from the week.
Last Friday, I was sharing our hopes that we would finish grouting the fireplace in our Study between Carson’s hockey games through the weekend. I’m happy to report that we not only finished grouting the tile, but Brady managed to get the fireplace all put back together AND put up our new curtains too! I revealed the fireplace in this week’s Newsletter (subscribe here if you haven’t already – I share all sorts of exclusive sneak peeks and behind the scenes there!) – we’re SO happy with how it’s all coming together! Next on the list is to replace this old carpet (you can see what we’re replacing it with here) and then, aside from a few missing furniture pieces (coffee table, accent cabinet and another side chair), this room will finally be done! Though I have my eye on a lounge chair upholstered in this plaid, I still haven’t found the right coffee table or accent cabinet for this space. Rather than rush things just for the sake of being “done”, I’m going to take my time to really create a space that we love.
With a long weekend ahead of us, we’re hoping to dive back into the primary bedroom, ensuite and Carson’s room (you can catch up with our latest reno update here if you missed it). Hoping we’ll have it all ready for drywall within the next few weeks. #fingerscrossed

Weekend Reading
Studio McGee has an absolutely stunning home and this week, she not only shared a tour of it, but shared all of the paint colours she used throughout.
Loved this brilliant little IKEA desk hack.
What are your thoughts on this design trend? I actually think it’s a pretty classic look and would be fun to try in our mudroom or maybe a bathroom.
This Marry Me Chicken was the perfect Valentine’s Day dinner.
And speaking of Valentine’s Day, who knew a pink house could be SO cute!
Here’s the book I’ve been curling up with this week.
And finally, the Instagram account I can’t stop scrolling this week…
Wishing you the most lovely weekend! Let me know if you have any fun plans in the comments below!
