SHARING MY FAVOURITE READS FROM THE WEEK

Friday already? It feels like this week just flew by.
Last weekend, I spent most of my time down in the basement finishing the trim work – filling all of the nail holes, sanding, priming + painting. Through the week, I’ve been caulking it all (my least favourite job ever!), working just a few minutes here and there through the evenings. I’m hoping to get it all finished up before our carpet goes in next week. #fingerscrossed
While I was working away inside the house, Brady + Carson were hard at work outside, starting construction on our new deck. I’ll tell you after months of prep tearing up our yard, it feels so amazing to finally be seeing some progress on the project that started it all! I don’t have any new photos to share of it yet, but you can catch all the updates in real-time through my Instagram stories.

This weekend is actually Thanksgiving here in Canada (I love how early ours is up here!). Though it’s going to look a little different this year than most others, we’re looking forward to cooking up a smaller, but still traditional turkey dinner for our little family. If you’re looking for some Thanksgiving table inspiration, you can check out my setting from last year here.
