Weekend Reading #166
A quick little update & my favourite reads from the week.

Happy Friday my friends! I hope you had a wonderful week! I’ve been feeling under the weather for more than a week now, but, after starting some meds last Friday, I finally started to feel a little more human this week. While getting sick is never fun, I’d say if it had to happen, the timing was pretty decent at least. Not only did this nasty virus wait until we made home from our trip (catch up with that here), but I got to curl up on our new sofa, through the coldest days of Winter in front of a roaring fire with absolutely zero pressure to be doing anything else.
We waited months for this new sofa to arrive (we ordered it up at the same time as our new custom sofa for the Study), thankfully it was so worth the wait. It’s extra deep, with the softest feather wrapped cushions and layer upon layer of pillows that we can move around to create the coziest little nest to curl up in. It’s absolutely perfect!
As for the weekend ahead, Carson’s got a hockey game tonight and then not another on the schedule until next weekend – we have an entire hockey-free weekend ahead of us. Brady’s planning to work on tiling the fireplace in the Study and hopefully install a new electrical plug into our floor (a big job working around our radiant heat lines). These are the last two projects on our list before the carpet can be installed, so here’s hoping we can cross those off the list and get our carpet install on the schedule asap. Keep an eye on our Insta stories for updates!
