Happy Friday friends! How was your week? Did you do anything exciting? Ours was relatively uneventful around here as we continued to unpack and settle into the new house. Did you catch the tour I shared earlier this week? It feels like each and every space needs a ton of work (including the exterior and yard), but we’re excited at the chance to make this old house our own. While we’ve been pretty busy with cleaning, unpacking, settling in and fixing a few things up along the way, I couldn’t resist getting started on at least one project.

A perfect example of restoring this house to it’s former glory – stripping that purple paint off the front door just couldn’t happen fast enough. Though it still needs a good sanding, not to mention the other two sections I haven’t even touched yet, it’s already looking SO much better, don’t you think?

I’m hoping to get the door all stripped and sanded this weekend so I can get some stain on it next week. Would you be interested in seeing the process? If so, let me know in the comments below and I’ll be sure to put together a post about it. In the mean time, I’ll share a few sneak peeks over on Instagram, so you can follow along over there if you’re curious.

The door is going to look amazing!! What did you use to strip the paint off?
Thanks so much Stephanie! Here’s a link to the paint stripper I used: https://amzn.to/3Afrl8u. And I couldn’t have done it without this scraper too: https://amzn.to/3QS6wa8. Hope this helps!
