Sharing my favourite reads from the week just in time for the weekend.

Well my friends, we made it through week three of #stayinghome. How’s everyone holding up? Brady + Carson are starting to feel a bit stir crazy, so we’ve really been making an effort to get out of the house for some fresh air everyday. Most days that means a walk through the forest with our Charley girl, but the boys have also hopped on the snowmobiles for a few trail rides too. Really trying to make the most of this extra loooong Winter we’ve been having, but honestly, I’m ready for some sunny Spring days to start rolling in soon. #fingerscrossed
Carson started online classes this week and so far they’re going really well. He’s enjoying the chance to connect with his teachers and friends each morning and it’s been great to add a bit of routine back into our days. I’ve been posting our daily “schedules” (I used that term quite loosely here) over on Instagram each morning – hoping y’all find it helpful to see how we’ve been filling our days. Our new favourite way to start each day has been working through our gratitude journals together (here’s mine, and Carson’s) – I think taking a few minutes to find gratitude, especially in times like this has been really helpful for us.

We’ve been filling the rest of our days with a good mix of walks, puzzles, watercolour painting, school work, reading, exercise, piano practice, facetimes with friends, movies, games, and a whole lot of extra time in the kitchen. Though there’s so much about this that I’m struggling with, I’m honestly really enjoying the extra time at home together with my family.
And now, while I sip my morning coffee and wait for my daily dose of #coronaconnection (this girl is SO real and watching her seriously feeds my soul every morning!), here’s what I’ll be catching up with…
WEEKEND READING

This beautiful Spring fireplace stopped me in my tracks.
Speaking of Spring, how beautiful are these pretty potted flowers.
I’m not the only one falling in love with watercolour painting.
Next up on our baking list.
And a few more baking ideas for later.

And who doesn’t need 10 ways to stay peaceful at home right about now?

Hoping to finish up my latest read this weekend too (really enjoying this quick read!).
Wishing you the most lovely weekend my friends!
