Weekend Reading #184

A quick little update & my favourite reads from the week.

Happy Friday my friends! How was your week? It was a busy one for us around here between work, school and house projects. I find June is always a bit crazy with all of the activities that everyone is trying to squeeze in before Summer break rolls in. With just two weeks left of school, the count down is definitely on!

With the drywall officially all finished up around our second floor, I couldn’t wait to get everything covered in a coat of primer! And now, with that behind us, I’m just itching to get some paint on these walls! This weekend, Brady is planning to start waterproofing the shower in our ensuite – the sooner we can get that done, the sooner we can start tiling in there! We also need to finalize our trim & door choices so that we can get that all ordered up. I’m eager to get going on the box moulding around our bedroom and the shiplap in the ensuite so that I can finally get these walls painted (still not sure what colour(s) we’ll be going with). We’ve definitely got a long way to go yet before these spaces are finished, but it’s so exciting to finally be at a point where we can see our progress and of course, that finish line!

And now, here are my favourite reads from the week…

My favourite reads from the week…

This incredible house transformation has been my favourite thing to follow along with on Instagram lately.

Definitely in favour of the design pivot.

Finding your design style.

This article highlighting popular Benjamin Moore white paint colours couldn’t have been more perfectly timed as we find ourselves picking out paint colours for our second floor reno.

These Honey Garlic Parmesan Biscuits would pair so perfectly with a bowl of soup or pasta!

Planning to whip up a batch of these Mountain Muffins for the week ahead.

The character-filled Instagram account I just can’t get enough of this week.

Finally, here’s the book I’ve been curling up with this week.

Wishing you the most lovely weekend! Let me know if you have any fun plans in the comments below!
