I can’t wait to show you how I brought a bit of colour + life to this old chair in just 15 minutes!
Welcome back to our final week of our Outdoor Extravaganza series hosted by my sweet friend Shauna at Satori Design for Living.
I’m SO excited to have had this chance to team up with an amazing group of Canadian bloggers to bring you all sorts of outdoor inspiration, hopefully helping you to bring your outdoor spaces to life again just in time for Spring (in Canada anyway)!
Week one was all about {plants & flowers}…
Through week two, we shared our {outdoor decorating & entertaining ideas}…
And finally, today we share our {paint & build it projects}…
We all know the power of paint my friends, it’s no secret.
But, even after all the painting I’ve done, somehow I still find myself in awe at the difference each and every time I finish a painting project.
Whether it’s a subtle refresh or a bold change, it never ceases to amaze me how something can transform so much with just a quick coat of paint.
We’ve had this old chair for ages now and it’s been a plain and boring white for nearly as long. It’s made the most lovely plant stand on our new front porch space, sitting prominently right next to our front door.
But, though there’s little I love more than white paint everywhere, I’ve always intended to try something a little different with this one…
And then this gorgeous paint came in the mail and I just couldn’t resist trying it!!!
The colour is called {verdigris} and it’s the most soft and dreamy green.
With a little help from my sweet little man, we had this baby all painted out in just minutes.
And I absolutely adore the soft pop of colour it brings to this corner of our front porch…
Still the perfect plant stand, just a little less boring…

Thank you! I am head over heels in love with that green!
Love that fresh and pretty green, especially next to your white birdcage. Isn’t chalk paint the best?! Transforms furniture in no time at all!
YES! My favourite way to make a quick and easy change to almost anything!
Looks great! A little paint makes a big difference 🙂

Thank you Jamie! I adore it too!
15 minutes is like a record time to diy renew a chair, really good!
Right?! And SUCH a big difference!
Such a sweet vignette. I love looking around the house and envisioning things with new eyes.
How true! I can’t ever seem to resist a change!
