Create this sweet + simple faux succulent bird cage planter in just minutes!
Hello friends!
I hate to jinx things…
But, I think maybe, just maybe, Spring has finally sprung here in northern Alberta!
The snow has melted away (for now at least)…
The trees are starting to green up, ever so slightly…
And most importantly, here I am working away from my front porch!
After months and months of nothing but cold and ice, I was beginning to think this day would never come!
Clearly I’m more than ready to welcome Spring + Summer with open arms! Which is why I’m thrilled to be taking part in an Outdoor Extravaganza series hosted by my sweet friend Shauna at Satori Design for Living.
For the next three weeks, I’ll be teaming up with an amazing group of Canadian bloggers to bring you all sorts of outdoor inspiration to help you bring your outdoor spaces to life again just in time for Spring (in Canada anyway)! Over the next few Thursdays, we’ll be sharing our Plants & Flowers projects, Outdoor Decorating & Entertaining ideas, as well as Build-it & Paint projects.
Then, on May 26th, we invite you to come back for one big OUTDOOR EXTRAVAGANZA link party, where you can share your own outdoor projects and discover something new!
To kick things off, we’ll be sharing our PLANTS & FLOWERS projects today…
I can’t wait to show you how quick + easy this faux succulent bird cage planter was to put together!
I started with a simple bird cage (I’ve linked up a few of my favourites below), some moss and some beautiful faux succulents from Afloral.
First, I piled a few handfuls of moss around the bottom of my bird cage. Then, I simply tucked a few faux succulents right into the moss…
I found it easiest to remove the heads from the stems whenever possible so that I could really tuck the succulents right into the moss.
This sweet little succulent bird cage planter took me just a few minutes to whip up and I am head-over-heels in love with how it turned out!
It’s the perfect way to brighten up this corner of our front porch, just in time for Spring!
