I’m designing the DIY master bedroom closet of my dreams friends and I cannot wait to share it!
Let’s face it, mornings are hard enough, without having to fumble through an ugly closet that is so old, ugly and disorganized that you can’t help but feel sad each time you open the doors.
Need I say more?
I mean really, how can we have this dreamy farmhouse style bedroom space…
With these pretty antique closet doors…
And then open them up to this…
It just makes me cringe.
This closet (like the rest of our outdated house) has been on my list since the day we moved in and I cannot wait make it a more beautiful and functional space!
We’ve got some pretty big plans for this little space…
We’ll be ripping every inch of this old closet out to make room for all sorts of pretty new details!
The walls will be getting a fresh coat of Benjamin Moore’s Cloud White.
Well, all except one wall, which will be covered in this gorgeous (and removable) wallpaper from Walls Need Love.
Then, we’ll be building our own DIY closet system with some of this pretty birch plywood that we picked up at Home Depot. I cannot wait to show y’all what hubs came up with for this one!!!
We found the perfect light at one of my fave online lighting shops, 1STOPLighting. And the best part, it was just $122, can you believe it?
And finally, we’ll add in a few fun accessories to help keep things organized!
As with all of our other reno projects, we’ll be putting Itsums to work as we plan and shop for this DIY master bedroom closet. You can read all about everything Itsums can do here.
And of course, check out my {Master Bedroom Design board} on Itsums for all the details, including budget, costs and links to all of the products I plan on using!
Wishing you SUCH a lovely day!

Our master closet reno was the best thing we have done for ourselves! It is so nice to walk in to an organized space everyday rather than chaos. You won’t regret it! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Ahhhhh, I can’t wait Denise!!!! Thank you so much!!!
That wallpaper is gorgeous, it’s going to look amazing!
Thanks Bre! I cannot wait to see it all come together!!!
I CANNOT wait to see what you do!! LOVE this design!! ???
Thank you so, so much Lindi!!! Thinking this one will be really fun!
That wallpaper is so cheery. Love those pastels. But I am smitten with that light fixture! Very classy! You always have such great design ideas. My closet could use some help so I can’t wait for the reveal.
Thank you for your sweet comments Peggy! I really think this is going to be such a fun & functional space! Thanks again!
I look forward to seeing it when it is finished. I really like the wallpaper.
Thank you SO much! It should be a really fun space!
I can’t wait to see how you will put together the elements you have already chosen. This is kind of like a mystery where we have all the clues, but the finished closet will reveal what the clues mean.
Awwwww, well thank you Jewell! It’s definitely fun to bring y’all with me through each step along the way!
Love your design board, Kristi! It’s going to look amazing!
This is going to be so cute! I am obsessed with that wallpaper. Maybe I need to redo my closet, too! Or a print like that would look fabulous in my laundry room, too.
Thanks girl, I’m head over heels in love with it too!!! Would be such a fun print in a laundry room too!
Love your choices. Can’t wait to see the completed project. You ae giving me the incentive to tackle mine. I found you on the Wednesday Showcase. 🙂
Ahhhh, thank you Clearissa! I’m dying to see how it all comes together too!
Can’t wait to see it all come together! That wallpaper is so swoon-worthy 🙂
Ahhhh, thank you so much Erica!
I wish I had your current closet, seriously, it looks perfect to me! I only have a small built in, so a walk in would be lovely. But I get you, a little updating is so much fun and i love all your plans and everything you picked! The wallpaper looks beautiful! Can’t wait to see the results!!!
Awwww, well thanks Katrin! The space was laid out in such a silly way, all that space was just being wasted. I’m so excited to finally have a place for everything!
That wallpaper is fabulous! And I love the purebond birch plywood; we’ve done like three projects with it, and I keep looking around for more places we can use it (and my closet could use a makeover, too…hmm….)
Thank you so, so much Gretchen!!! It’s beautiful wood to work with and I am loving the rich look it’s bringing to our closet space! Plus, it looks great with that fabulous wallpaper! Thanks again Gretchen!
Wow! I love that wall paper! It’s so pretty and I can’t believe it’s removable. Thanks for sharing your plan with us at Merry Monday this week!
Thank you Marie! Definitely love the chance to be able to change my mind down the road! 😉
What neat plans for a closet reno. That wallpaper is so cute. I can’t wait to see how it turns out! I’ve never heard of Itsums before, but it’s now my latest addiction, haha!
Isn’t it brilliant?! We use it for everything … reno plans, birthday parties, Christmas lists! Thank you so much Celeste!!!
I cannot wait to see your project once completed! Thank wallpaper is just gorgeous. I must say, I’m jealous of the closet you have now. We have the horrid, sliding door, non-walk-in things that I’m just not having any luck trying to get in order. I can’t wait to see (and hopefully find some inspiration from) your’s!!
Thanks so much for sharing at the Monday Mish Mash.
*Hugs*
Thank you Amy! I’m so ready to have a place for everything and really get it all organized!
