Oh my goodness friends, Winter has certainly arrived with a bang here in northern Alberta (not that we Canadians expected anything less of course!).
The snow, the cold, those long, dark evenings … there are definitely moments that I’d wish them all away, ready to sell my soul for a sunny day at the beach.
But, there’s really no denying that nothing has me craving all things cozy like a cold + snowy Winter’s evening.
Which is why I’m SO excited to be teaming up with the most amazing group of bloggers to bring you another round-up (catch last month’s here) of fabulous cozy living ideas to help you stay warm + cozy this Winter!
But first, let me start by sharing my five favourite ways to warm up these long, cold Winter nights…
one. In a quiet bath, all to myself (quiet + all to myself are really key here).
Obviously, this doesn’t happen near as often as I wish it did, but when I do find a few minutes for a quiet soak in some tranquil bath salts, it’s my very favourite way to spend an evening.
two. With a glass of wine, or cup of tea, whichever will help you unwind the day.
Whether I bring it in the tub with me or curl up on the sofa with it afterwards, I always love to sip something cozy before bed.
three. Curled up with a great book. Honestly, there’s no better way to spend any evening if you ask me (find my latest read here, quite fitting for this post actually)!
four. Crawling into the coziest nest.
There’s just nothing like sinking into layer upon layer of blankets and pillows to make you feel all huddled in, so warm + cozy.
Just in case you’re on the hunt, I’ve linked up a few of my favourite cozy bedding essentials below:
five. And of course a lovely candle burning every step of the way.
There’s nothing cozier than a candle flickering away, filling the house with the prettiest scent (here are a few of my favourite cozy scents in case you were wondering).
Sure sounds like the makings of a perfect Winter’s night to me!
I’m telling ya friends, we Canucks know a thing or two about cozy (out of pure necessity of course!)…

Hi Kristi!
Love your home & blog.
Can I ask where you purchased your table lamps. I ordered very similar ones from Target and they just arrived broken :(. I too am in Northern Alberta so hoping to purchase some a little closer too home!
Thank you so, so much for your kind words Selene! And I love, love, love getting the chance to connect with fellow Canadians, especially ones that live so close to home! I purchased those lamps a few years ago from Birch Lane (a Wayfair affiliate), but I just took a look and Wayfair.ca has some beautiful options: https://www.wayfair.ca/keyword.php?keyword=turned+wood+table+lamp&command=dosearch&new_keyword_search=true. This one’s actually been on my wish list for a while now: https://www.wayfair.ca/lighting/pdp/ophelia-co-aron-wooden-31-table-lamp-opco1152.html. Pottery Barn and Homesense always have beautiful options too. Hope this helps!!! Happy shopping Selene!
