Simple Winter dining room decor ideas to make your dining space feel cozy and inviting this Winter.
Hello friends and welcome back to another round up of beautiful decorating ideas that you can whip up in just 10 minutes or less!
Y’all, I’m seriously SO excited about this series! I mean honestly, who doesn’t have 10 minutes to spare?
On the first Wednesday of each month, I’ve been teaming up with an amazing group of bloggers to bring you all sorts of inspiration that you’re sure to love. This month’s theme was {Winter}, and I cannot wait to see the cozy ideas that everyone came up with!
But first, I’m so excited to share some simple decor ideas that I put to work to cozy up our dining room this Winter.
First of all, nothing says cozy like faux fur and wool! You might be thinking I’m nuts to bring pillows and a blanket into our dining space, but there’s nothing I love more than wrapping up in a warm blanket while I sip my morning coffee snuggled into this cozy chair. #notsocrazyafterall
I LOVE to layer in lots and lots of candles. Flickering candlelight is the very best way to make the most of all that extra time we’re forced to spend in the dark through the Winter months.
You’ll notice that I spread candles of all different sizes and styles all along our beautiful side table…
Just in case you need to up your candle game, you can find a few of my favourites below:
And finally, I always love to bring in some greenery. Whether they’re faux, or the real deal, seeing plants scattered around you is my very favourite way bring some life to any space!
IKEA is one of my favourite places to snag some beautiful plants for a great price, but, just in case you live hours away from one, I’ve also rounded up a few other favourites available with the click of a button for you below:
I am head over heals in LOVE with our new farmhouse style dining space and I had so much fun showing y’all how I brought in a bit of warmth through these cold Winter months!
And, since I’m trying to break into the world of YouTube, you can see it all in action in the video below (don’t forget to give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel while you’re there!):
You can read more about how we made over this dining space in just one weekend here:
Now I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to check out what the other gals came up with…

Thank you so much Shawnna!
Love all the simple touches!
Thanks so much Kim!!!
I love the updates you’ve made to your cute dining room. I love that reclaimed wood circle sign on your side table, where’s it from!?
Thank you so, so much Chelsea! I can’t wait to share the tutorial for it next week!
Where did you get the beautiful fiddle leaf fig tree? Is it real?
Thanks Debra, it’s actually faux because I just can’t seem to keep the real ones alive. Here’s an affiliate link to it: http://rstyle.me/n/cd4q9wbz687. Thanks again!
I love everything about your dining room! I’m pinning so I can study it later as I have a buffet that needs a beautiful arrangement like yours. Where did you find that mug holder? I’ve seen a wall mounted one similar at Magnolia but your smaller one is just what I need.
Thank you so, so much Shelley! I’m so happy you’re feeling inspired! I hunted high and low for a mug rack that wasn’t too big or expensive and this one fit the bill perfectly (affiliate link): http://rstyle.me/n/b83qkhbz687. Hope this helps!!!
Hi, Kristi! I just found your blog and I am really looking forward to spending lots of time perusing your posts. Your home is so pretty, and your dining room is an inspiration for me to get going on updating mine! I just love what you have done with it! I too had a question about the adorable rack you are using for your mugs. Can you tell me how tall yours is? I followed the link you provided above, and it says that the rack is 8.9″ tall. Is that right? It looks taller than that to me in your photos.
Thanks so much!
You are SO darn sweet Kaille! Thank you so, so much for your kind words, I’m thrilled to hear that you’re feeling inspired! You are so smart to ask about the measurements and you’re absolutely right, the mug rack actually measures 18″ tall to the very top (14″ to that top middle support). Hope this helps!

Your room is so gorgeous! Your candles are so pretty and I love the wood and white candles. Everything is perfect!
