With it’s neutral colours and cozy texture, this DIY pom pom wreath will look perfect hanging in your home all Winter long!
It may just be November, but Winter is in full swing here in Alberta. We’ve actually been looking out the windows at a world of white for weeks now, bundling up in all the warmest gear every time we have to leave the house.
Though we’re no strangers to the cold way up here, it certainly has us craving all things warm + cozy through these long Winter months.
We’re always looking for ways to warm up the house this time of year, in fact, I shared a few of my favourites in this cozy living post a few weeks ago.
Cozy textures always help to make a space feel warm + welcoming through these cold, snowy months…
I think this DIY pom pom wreath is going to look so perfectly warm + cozy hanging in our bedroom all Winter long!
Plus, who doesn’t love a good pom pom project!
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
– wire wreath form (I spray painted mine white)
– yarn (I chose to use a few different textures like this and this)
-some scraps of cardboard to make the pom poms
And here’s how I made my pom poms and turned them into this pretty wreath:

I really think this pretty wreath brings so much coziness to our bedroom space, I’m thinking I might just need to make another for our family room now too!
Wishing you SUCH a lovely week!

Hi, Kristi, I love the pom-pom wreath and would like to try one myself. can you tell me an estimated materials list.. ? How much yarn did it take? What size wreath form did you use and how many pom-poms of each size did you make. Thank you…. Sandi
I’m so happy you love it Sandi! I used three skeins of yarn to make enough pom poms to fill my 12″ wreath form, though how much yarn you need would absolutely depend on your wreath size. I’m not sure how many pom poms I actually made in the end – I’m so sorry, I didn’t really keep track, but just laid them out around my wreath form until it looked like I had enough. I hope this helps!
So pretty and cozy looking. Was there a reason you didn’t hot glue the pom poms on?
Thank you Lynne! I didn’t want to have to dig out my hot glue gun, but you could definitely choose to hot glue them on if you’d rather.
