My favourite reads from the week.

Happy Friday friends! How was your week? Things were a little more hectic than usual around here with some new restrictions across our province that had all three of us working/schooling from home this week. Online school has definitely been a challenge (as you can imagine, sitting in front of a computer for six hours a day isn’t an easy feat for a 9 year old boy), but we’re doing our best to muddle through and very much hoping that students will be returning to school soon!
Even with our balance thrown off with everyone working from home this week, we have managed to still chip away at a few things around the house. Last week I mentioned that I’d painted Carson’s old bedroom and this week, we were able to get the bunk beds moved into this freshly painted space. I haven’t shared much about the new bunk room here on the blog, but I’m hoping to share our plans for this space with y’all next week – in the mean time, here’s a little sneak peek…

This weekend, I’m hoping to work on getting our new composter all set up and ready to use and maybe even start planting some of the root crops into our raised garden (you can find the tutorial for it here).

But first, before I get started with any work around here, here are my favourite reads from the week…

Thinking this creamy bacon & mushroom pasta would be perfect for Sunday dinner this week. And I’ll definitely be adding these easy flourless granola cookies to my baking list this weekend too!

The Instagram feed I just can’t get enough of this week.
And finally, here’s what’s on my nightstand right now.
