SHARING MY FAVOURITE READS FROM THE WEEK

Happy Friday friends! Since I missed last week’s Weekend Reading post, you’ll find a few extra shares in my reading list this morning. If you follow along on Instagram, you’ll already know that we snuck away to the city for a few nights last week and I have to say, the change in scenery was a such great little recharge for us all. We had so much fun exploring Elk Island National Park on our stand-up paddle boards and making our way all around downtown Edmonton on electric scooters. It was a perfect chance to find some new adventures just a couple of hours from home. We also had a chance to explore a few neighbourhoods around Edmonton, gathering inspiration for our own exterior reno plans. I think we’ve landed on our siding choices and we’re just narrowing down the last few details such as the stone work and placement of things. I’ve gathered a ton of inspiration and can’t wait to show you what we’ve got planned!
On the blog this week, I caught you up with all things currently. Behind the scenes, we’ve been finalizing plans for our exterior renovation. It’s going to be a HUGE undertaking and I can’t wait to share it all soon!
And now, while I sip my morning coffee, here’s what I’ll be catching up with this weekend…
WEEKEND READING

Looking for a great Summer read? I’ve read and loved a few of these and added the rest to my “want to read” shelf on Goodreads.
Some lovely ways to incorporate family photos into your decor.

Whether it’s online or wandering your favourite second hand shop, here are 10 items to look for while thrifting.
I’ve fallen hard for every inch of this gorgeous master bedroom and bath renovation.

And, speaking of gorgeous bed + bath renos, you need to see this cozy cabin master bedroom and bath renovation.
If you’ve been thinking about adding some mouldings or trim work to your walls, you won’t want to miss these beautiful ideas.

We enjoy flatbread pizza at least once a week around here and this delicious looking lemon + honey version just made it to the top of my must-try list.

Also, planning to test out a few of these popular Summer recipes.
And maybe a Summer spritz to go with (the St Germain sounds heavenly!).
Finally, I just finished up this amazing book, which was so interesting and thought provoking, it kept me thinking long after I put it down. I highly, highly recommend it! I picked up this chart topping Summer read the other day and cannot wait to dive into it this weekend!
Wishing you the most lovely weekend my friends!
