Weekend Reading #208

A quick little update & my favourite reads from the week.

Happy Friday my friends! How was your week? It’s been a busy one around here. You may have noticed our website has a new look – we were long overdue for a website refresh in both looks and functionality, so I spent the better part of last weekend updating all the things around here. I’m hoping this new site will be easier to navigate, especially from mobile devices. No matter how. much time I spend getting everything set up, there always seems to be a few hiccups with every new website design, so if you happen to notice anything not working as it should, please reach out and let me know so I can get it all fixed up.

While I was busy working on the new website, Brady spent the majority of last weekend finishing up the install of all of our new doors upstairs. He managed to get them all trimmed out and got a good start on some of the window trim up there too!

This weekend will be an extra special one around here. On Saturday, we’ll be celebrating Carson’s thirteenth birthday – still not sure how that snuck up so quickly! On top of that, we have our nieces coming to stay with us – we always love any opportunity to spend some extra time with them. With so much to look forward to, it’s sure to be a fun-filled weekend around here. Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead too!

Here are my favourite reads from the week…

Something I’ve been meaning to try for ages now.

Designing a kitchen can feel so overwhelming, but here’s a great place to start.

And while we’re at it, Studio McGee shares their favourite kitchen wall paint colours.

We’ve been loyal Ben Moore customers for years now – they make great paint in what feels like endless colour options, but lately I’ve been drawn to several Farrow and Ball colours that I just couldn’t resist trying. I’ve decided to purchase the real deal despite the high price tag because I was worried a colour match just wouldn’t do them justice. Turns out, I was right. Why colour matching paint doesn’t work.

On board with all of these 10 old house features that deserve a comeback.

Loved this budget friendly Nancy Meyers inspired living room refresh.

I’ve been enjoying way too many Iced Lavender Cream Oat Lattes lately, thinking I need to give this homemade version a try.

The Instagram account I just can’t get enough of this week.

Finally, here’s the book I’ve been curling up with this week.

Wishing you the most lovely weekend! Let me know if you have any fun plans in the comments below!
