Sharing our favourite character-filled floor lamp options for the study.

Our next renovation project is officially underway my friends. It took me a while to figure out (and commit to) a direction for this space, but I couldn’t be more excited to finally be diving into renovating our study. If you missed it, you can catch up with our design plans for this space here – basically we’re going for a welcoming, cozy little library with a fun mash up of traditional with a few bold pops of modern. I want this to feel like a collected, character-filled space.
So far, we’ve ordered up new tile for the fireplace, some cozy wool carpet and a custom sofa with a fun modern twist. I’m still toying around with different chair options (currently debating between a warm brown leather or a more casual feeling flax coloured linen) and haven’t yet pulled the trigger on this desk yet (I wanted to get the chair picked out first, just in case I can have them shipped together). While I’m thinking on chair options, I thought I’d jump into something a bit easier to commit to and choose the floor lamp that will sit next to our sofa. And today, I thought I’d bring you along through my shopping journey – hopefully if you find yourself shopping for a new floor lamp, you’ll find a few to love today too!
