Sharing some of my favourite bathroom wall paneling ideas & inspiration.
With the layout finally settled upstairs (check out our plans here), we are in full-on bathroom planning mode over here. I’ve been gathering inspiration for months now and, while I don’t feel totally settled on everything yet, I do feel like we’re slowly inching our way closer to finalizing a design plan for our ensuite (I shared some of my favourite ideas here if you’re curious). I’ve talked a lot about how excited we are to bring out the charm and character of this old house (see our home tour here) and, with it’s gabled ceiling (and the unique layout challenges that brings), I think our ensuite bathroom will be the perfect place for us to start. There are SO many ways we could add some of that cottage character here – cladding the ceiling beam in wood, adding some wood paneling to the sloped ceiling, bold tile work, maybe some wallpaper, character lighting, a warm wood vanity, perhaps even some bold colours – there’s a ton of different ways we could go here and we’re really excited to have some fun with it all.
One of my favourite ways to bring some charm & character to a space is by adding wall paneling. Whether it’s a full wall of paneling, just a partial wall of wainscotting or a mix of both, I really think it sets such a beautiful backdrop for everything. On top of sourcing all the usual things, I’ve also found myself on the hunt for bathroom wall paneling ideas that could help us add that modern cottage feel. I’ve found SO many inspiring ideas that I just couldn’t help but share them with you, so today I’m doing just that – I hope you find as much inspiration in these spaces as I have.

I hope you found these incredible spaces (and the wall paneling behind them) as inspiring as I have. I’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions about your favourites below. In the mean time, I’ll keep piecing together a design plan for our ensuite – here’s hoping I’ve got something to share soon!
Wishing you SUCH a lovely day my friends!

Gorgeous ideas, I am always concerned about heavier paneling in a small home, but looking at the bathrooms it looks fine. Over the summer I hope to try it myself, thank you for the inspiration.
I think paneling is such a simple, understated way to add a ton of charm and character and honestly, I think it works especially well in a smaller spaces! You can add that texture and character without taking up any floor space! I’m so glad you found some inspiration through these beautiful spaces!
