SHARING A QUICK UPDATE ON LIFE CURRENTLY.
Happy March my friends! Did this month sneak up on anyone else? Honestly, I’m not even sure how we got here, it feels like we were kicking off the new year just last week, but somehow, here we are. We had such a wonderful February around here, packed with equal amounts of adventure and downtime – I guess it’s no surprise why the month seemed to just fly by. March is shaping up to be even more exciting as we have some big plans to finally start digging into our primary bathroom renovations, finalize the design plans for our bedroom, en-suite and closet, and of course, we’ll keep chipping away at this little to-do list in between it all. It won’t all be work around here though, with the weather warming up (and Spring on it’s way soon), we’ll definitely be spending a whole lot of time outdoors enjoying the sunshine and snow while we still can. We spent hours out on our backyard rink last weekend (even Charley got in on the fun, though she’s still not super comfortable moving around on the ice), and I anticipate many more evenings and weekends out here through the month to come.
Read on for a quick little update of where we are currently…
Reading: I’m about a quarter of the way through this new read and so far I’m really enjoying it.
Writing: I’ve been working on a list of the things I need to order up for the renovations ahead. There’s still SO much left to decide on, the list feels never ending!
Needing: Window coverings for our kitchen, living room and study are still high up on the list of things I need to get figured out asap. With so many options out there, I’ve really been feeling torn about which way we want to go here.
Creating: Now that we’ve got the layout for everything all figured out, I can finally dig into tackling the design plans for our bedroom, bathroom, closet and C’s room. This is the fun part!!!
Loving: I have been using this app for several months now to help me to track some new habits I’ve been trying to work into my life and it’s been such a game changer for me. Not only is motivating to get to check things off the list each day, but it also helps to remind me to do things that I might otherwise forget (taking my vitamins 2x a day was a big one for me!). It’s also been so helpful in tracking my water intake through the days – I’ve been aiming for 4 of these 24oz cups and checking in with my app each time I fill it really helps me to keep track of how much I’ve already drank through the day and how much I’ve still got to go to reach my goal.
To Do: I’ve been slowly chipping away at this list of quick & easy projects. On the docket for this week will be painting this old desk in our study. I’ve been thinking on the colour for a couple of weeks now, and while a creamy white, linen, or even black have crossed my mind, the colour I keep coming back to is this warm chocolate brown. I think it’ll be a great middle ground for the dark brown walls and honey oak shelving in there. It’s also going to look SO amazing with the new hardware I just ordered up! What do you think?
Wearing: Still living in this super cozy hoodie.
On my wish list: Some small art to scatter throughout our home. Planning to do some shopping on Etsy for prints and vintage style frames – I promise to share if I come across anything good!
Planning: I’ve been hard at work sourcing out and piecing together some design plans for our renovations upstairs. More on that to come soon!
Working for me right now: Squeezing in workouts on our Peloton Bike and Tread – with the weather being so cold and unpredictable, I honestly don’t know what we’d do without them!
What’s not: Committing to design choices in this house has been SO much harder than I’d imagined.
Anticipating: SO looking forward to finally getting started with some renovations!!!
I’d LOVE to hear where are you currently! Let me know what’s new and exciting in the comments below.
Wishing you SUCH a lovely day my friends!
