How to turn an old picture frame into a DIY chicken wire memo board in just minutes!
Back-to-school is right around the corner my friends!
And, with the kiddos heading off to school, & those long, lazy days of Summer behind us, most of us will find our schedules filling up quickly.
As both a blogger and a substitute teacher, back-to-school also means back-to-work.
Projects are picking up, new deadlines are looming and life is getting busier by the minute.
Working from home definitely has it’s perks, but my goodness, it can be hard to focus on writing blog posts while I’m sitting beside a heaping pile of laundry.
Which is why I’m so very grateful to have my own office space to escape to!
Not only does it help to separate my work life from my home life (the hardest part of working from home!), but friends, it’s just so pretty I can’t help but feel inspired the minute I walk in!!!
I’m sure it’s no surprise that it’s filled to the brim with DIY projects to love…
But, one of my very favourite things about my farmhouse office space is this simple DIY chicken wire memo board!
Not only is it a great way to pin up all those important work notes, but it’s a pretty place to display all of my little farmhouse treasures.
You won’t believe how quick + easy it was to make! Watch the video below for the full tutorial:

Love this idea. I could really use this as my crew heads back to school.
SO happy you love it! It’ll be such a great way to stay organized through all that back to school chaos!
I love it, too! A place to post “notes to me,” and others … as well as display little projects/helpful tools to use while I’m at “work!” I think the garland of little circles is great, too, and want to ask , please, if they’re cut from single book pages … ?!? (Thx for any info!)
Thank you so, so much Kathleen! I’m so happy you love it! You can find the tutorial for that simple book page garland here: https://www.makingitinthemountains.com/make-book-page-garland/. Thanks again!
I have a frame unused for a long time and also bought a chicken wire which I bought last year (not really knowing what to do with it, just bought it because it’s on sale .. LOL). Now I know how to put use on it. Really excited to make similar to this.
Oh good! SO happy you’re feeling inspired Marianne! Thanks so much!
