Currently {Life in May}

Hello friends and a very, very happy May!

Spring has finally, finally made its way to northern AB and I can’t tell you how excited we are to see it!

It feels like we’ve been waiting ages for Spring to arrive.

In fact, we got SO tired of waiting on Spring that we hopped on a plane to Mexico just to escape those mountains of snow that insisted on falling well past their welcome.

We are so very lucky to have family that live in the most lovely little town just north of Puerto Vallarta, which means that not only do we have a beautiful place to stay when we visit, but we have the most amazing tour guides to show us all the best places to visit and all the best restaurants to enjoy.

We spent ten glorious days rolling in the ocean waves, digging in the sand, splashing around the pool + really just soaking up all the sunshine we could.

And best of all, we enjoyed every minute of it with family.

Of course, we love the sunshine, warm temperatures and all that ocean fun – but, what we love most (aside from visits with our family of course) is that we all get a chance to see and experience Mexican life outside of a resort. The beauty, the language, the culture, the people – what it’s truly like to live in a small Mexican town.

And, as if all that wonderful wasn’t enough, we arrived back home to Spring my friends!

As the temperatures rise and all this snow melts away you know I’ve got all sorts of ideas in the works, but in the meantime, here’s a quick update about where I am {currently}…

Reading: Between plane rides and afternoon siestas, I found all sorts of time to read these last few weeks, plowing through the latest from Sophie Kinsella (I just LOVE her light + funny reads) and Big Magic (definitely some interesting insights on how to pursue your creativity).

I enjoyed all those hours I spent with my nose in a book so much that I found myself wondering why I don’t make more time for it at home. I’m hoping to find more ways to incorporate some time to read into my days and there’s no better incentive than a really good page-turner – hoping this one fits the bill.
 

Writing: A blog schedule for all the ideas and plans swirling around my head.
 

Watching: I could watch my talented friend Lisa share her beautiful farmhouse living ideas all day long!
 

Needing: Some cute new flats for Summer!

Creating: I’ve been working hard on my YouTube channel these last few weeks. I’d love it if you subscribed!

Learning: All sorts of yummy new recipe ideas from Hello Fresh!
 

Planning: More pretty projects with this gorgeous linen!
