My favourite bedroom light options that are perfect for low ceilings, but still make a statement.
Happy Tuesday friends! How was your weekend? Ours was especially wonderful – Brady & I actually took off to the city for the weekend to do a bit of house hunting with my brother and his wife. My sister-in-law is actually an interior designer (though she works mostly with exteriors now, you can check out her blog here), so you can imagine all of the redesigning and renovating we were doing in our heads together.
Speaking of redesign, I’ve been shopping for a new bedroom light for our primary bedroom for ages now. I actually really loved our old one, but when we noticed a burning plastic smell coming from it a few months ago, we quickly decided it needed to go.
I’ve been hunting high and low for months now for the perfect replacement. I mean lighting can make such a difference to a space and I thought this might be a great opportunity to have the ceiling fixture in here make a bit more of a statement. The trouble is, our 9 ft ceilings don’t allow for much height, which rules out most chandeliers. Finding a beautiful light that would really make a statement in here, while still working with our low ceilings has been tricky, but with a bit of digging, I managed to round up quite a few options that I think would work well in here. Today, I thought I’d share my favourites with you to save you some digging if you happen to be on a hunt for new lighting too.
If you’re working with 9ft ceilings in your bedroom space like we are, hopefully you’ll find this little round up helpful! Right now, I’m totally torn between this flush mount and this little chandelier – I’d love to hear which option you’d go with in the comments below! I think the flush mount leans a little more vintage while the chandelier has a touch more of a modern feel. What do you think?
Wishing you SUCH a lovely day my friends!
