My favourite reads from the week.

Happy Friday friends! I hope you had a wonderful week! It was a pretty busy one around here – with two trips into the city and a weekend in Jasper for the boys, it felt like we did more travelling in just this past week than nearly all of 2020.
Though it wasn’t all fun and games, I did get to spend some time wandering around a few home stores for an afternoon and I found all sorts of lovely treasures to bring home with me. My favourite find was this gorgeous runner. I loved it so much, I actually bought 2 – one for our kitchen and one for the hallway to our office.
This weekend, we’re planning yet another trip into the city to pick up some new mountain bikes for Carson and I. My current bike is 10+ years old now and, though it’s still in really great condition, there are a ton of new changes & features available on bikes today that I’m really excited to try. C has outgrown his current bike, so we’re planning to pick up a new one for him too while we’re in there, though it’ll have to be a covert operation as we’re planning to give it to him for his birthday next month (so if you see him, don’t mention it!). We’ve been doing a ton of research online and I think we’ve narrowed things down to a few favourites – I think the trickiest part will be finding them in stock somewhere (mountain bikes have been a hot commodity lately). There’s little we love more than an epic mountain biking adventure together – whether it’s hitting the trails around home on the daily or planning a Summer vacation in the mountains (we’re hoping to hit up Whistler, BC again this year – it’s one of our favourite places to bike!), mountain biking has long been a favourite Summer activity for us all.
And now, here’s what I’ll be catching up with this weekend…
