SHARING MY FAVOURITE READS FROM THE WEEK JUST IN TIME FOR THE WEEKEND.

Hello friends! And a very happy Friday to you! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week. We enjoyed a bit of a quieter week around here. With Brady away in the mountains back-country skiing + snowmobiling, Carson and I made the most our quiet evenings cooking our favourite simple dinners together (his most requested: tomato soup + grilled cheese), working on a composition for piano lessons and even finding some time to craft the most adorable little wood gnome (pop on over to Instagram to see how it turned out).
Though things were quiet here on the blog, I spent some time working on things behind the scenes this week moving my website to a new hosting company, reorganizing + reworking some of my Pinterest boards and putting together a post with all of the design, DIY + product info for each room in our home, including some updated spaces I haven’t yet shared here on the blog (watch for that next week!).
We’ve got what should be a quiet weekend ahead of us, with Brady arriving home tomorrow just in time for our very last hockey game of the season Sunday morning. Planning to celebrate with a team brunch afterwards. It’s definitely a bitter-sweet feeling – we’re ready for all the fun and activity that Spring + Summer bring, but we’ll sure miss our time at the rink and most especially the wonderful people we shared it with.
I also pulled out a new book this week, though I haven’t managed to actually open it yet (highly recommend last weekend’s read though!). Hoping to find a few quiet hours this weekend to spend curled up on the sofa with my nose in a book. I’m sure we’ll also manage to fit in a bit of snowmobiling, maybe some skiing and most definitely a bit of baking (my favourite way to spend a Sunday!). Finally, we’ve got some new curtains and hardware to put up in our bedroom, which I’ll be sure to share over on Instagram. In the mean time, here’s what I’m catching up with over coffee this morning…
