Well hello Tuesday! How did you make your way back around ALREADY?!
Though it’s been a week since I last posted, I haven’t been relaxing in front of my Fall fireplace the whole time! I’ve actually been hard at work planning all sorts of fun projects and posts for the weeks to come!!! We’re just four days into November and it’s already shaping up to be THE MOST exciting (all be it, busy!) month for making it in the mountains yet!!! You are NOT going to want to miss a thing!!!
Before I officially break into “the most wonderful time of the year”, I thought I’d share a simple, every day project that I’ve been meaning to tackle for much too long … this little table in my entryway has been begging for a facelift since the day I bought it!
You may remember seeing this boring old table as I decked out my front entryway with {All Things Fall}.
Now let me tell you how I gave this sad little table the easiest makeover ever!
After giving it a quick wipe down, I painted two coats of Country Chic Chalk Paint in Simply White over the entire table. Once everything was dry, I added one last coat of paint in my new favorite colour … Rocky Mountain. Not only do I totally LOVE its fab Canadian name, but this is THE MOST PERFECTLY warm shade of grey!!! It was love at first paint stroke!
After letting this last coat dry for a couple of hours, I simply started sanding away. I wanted a really distressed look with bits of white and even the dark wood underneath poking through. I just love how easily this chalk paint distresses, saving me a zillion hours of sanding I’m sure!
With a quick coat of clear wax, my plain little table was completely transformed!!!
Have you checked out Country Chic Paint yet? What colour are you dying to try?
You can find me sharing here and Savvy Southern Style.
*Paint was provided by Country Chic Paint, but the gushing opinions of it are all my own!!! Read more information about my disclosure policy here.*

Oh my gosh it looked good before but it looks awesome now! I am not good at the whole distressing thing but apparently you are!
Well thank you Jillian! I use a sanding block so that it just does a little bit at a time, but it’s SO much easier with chalk paint!!!
Which side of Rocky Mtns. do you live on in Canada? We live west of Rockies about 18 miles west of Grand Junction, CO. We don’t get such severe and as much weather as east side by Denver, thank heavens.
I love your little table, you really gave it great personality. I’ll have to look up Country chic chalk paint. Hadn’t heard of it before. You did wonderful job on your little table.
Happy week and enjoy your season
Thank you SO much JaneEllen!!! We actually live in the Kootenay Mountains in southern BC (just north of Spokane), but grew up next to the Rocky Mountains near Jasper in Northern AB. The weather is pretty mellow here – warm with lots of snow, which is just the way we like it! We haven’t made it down to CO yet, but it’s definitely on our list of must ski places!!! Wishing you a fabulous week as well!
