Primary Bed + Bath Renovation Progress
It’s been a couple of months now since I last chatted about all of the renovations we’ve been working on around here (catch our last update here), so I figured it was time to share a little progress check in. Between summer fun as a family, back-to-school for Carson and back to work for me, well, let’s just say our reno progress has been a bit slower than we’d hoped. Aside from removing the old door and window casings, our bedroom, closet and Carson’s room are looking pretty much the same as they did in our last update, but I’m happy to report that our primary bathroom has seen a ton of change through the past couple of months. I can’t wait to share it with you!
Primary Ensuite

As you can see, we now have tiled floors and a vanity installed and I can’t believe how much closer to finished this space feels now. The countertops were templated last week and should be ready for install in the next couple of weeks. Brady custom designed an arc cutout for either side of the backsplash and it’s making me feel even more excited to see it installed now. Here’s a little sneak peek at the template we handed off to the countertop manufacturer.

Once the new counters are installed, we’ll be able to install the plumbing and then our cabinet makers will be able to build out that middle drawer around all of the plumbing.
Brady’s also been chipping away at the shower tile and has the shower curb and just one row left around the walls. Once that’s done, he’ll be able to grout the floors and install the plumbing in there as well.

I think the next step for us will be installing all of the doors and trim in here and then we’ll finally be able to add the shiplap around the entire room. From there it’ll just be mirrors, lighting and decor. It feels like we’re getting so much closer to finished in this space and I couldn’t be more excited about it!
Primary Bedroom + Closet
Our bedroom and closet haven’t seen much change at all since our last update. We’ve still got doors, trim and floors to install in here as well as all of the sconces. I’m also debating whether we should add some new framing to the window bench to give it more of an inset look, but I’m not sure that that will be worth the time and effort, so still on the fence.

Our bedroom furniture and decor has been starting to roll in and I can’t help but grow more and more excited to see this space come together with each new package that arrives! It’s going to be SO good my friends!
Carson’s Bedroom
Carson’s bedroom has evolved into the storage room for all the things (along with the hallway beside it!). It’s currently holding all of the new hardwood for our entire second floor, as well as all of the doors and trim for all of these rooms. We’ll likely choose to leave this space until we can get the flooring installed through the second floor here, which will naturally help us to get this space all cleared out again.

And that’s about it my friends. Still a long way to go yet, but we’ll get there eventually. As we get closer and closer to that finish line, I am definitely growing more excited to see how these spaces all come together in the end.
Wishing you SUCH a lovely day!
