Our Fall Project List

Sharing all of the projects we’ll be working on around the house this Fall.

With Summer slipping away and Fall rolling its way in, I’ve found myself feeling more motivated than ever to keep plowing through projects around the house. I’ve got loads of ideas in mind, but I’ve found it so helpful to put together a to-do list to help keep things on track. We’ve been putting together a renovation goal list each January for years now (see our 2023 list here), but this year I’ve started breaking things down each season and it’s really helped us to prioritize our massive renovation list, breaking it down into more bite-sized pieces.

Before I dive into our project list for the Fall ahead, I just wanted to take a minute to revisit our last project list from the Summer.

OUR SUMMER PROJECT LIST

โœ”๏ธ ONE: Get our in-ground sprinkler system up and running.

โœ”๏ธ TWO: Add mulch to our flower beds.

โœ”๏ธ THREE: Paint the garage doors.

๐—ซ FOUR: Swap out our exterior lights. (Moving this one to our Fall list).

โœ”๏ธ FIVE: Paint the living room built-ins.

โœ”๏ธ SIX: Paint the study (again).

๐—ซ SEVEN: Furnish the study. (We’re still working on this one, although most of the furniture is ordered at least).

Well, I’d say 5/7 isn’t too bad I guess. And at least we’re well on our way with those last two (I finally ordered up our new exterior lights last week).

And now, let’s move on to our project list for the Fall ahead. Here’s what we’d like to tackle around here before the holidays roll in.

OUR FALL PROJECT LIST

ONE: Finish renovating the Study.

While we have officially ordered all of the furniture for this space, we’ve got a long list of little projects to finish up before it all gets here. I’m planning to share a quick little check in with our study progress next week, including where we’re at with things now and what we’ve still got left to tackle in here.

TWO: Replace the flooring on our stairs.

While the carpet installers are here installing the new carpet in our study, we’re also planning to have them install carpet on our two staircases (up and down from our main floor). I think we’ve landed on keeping the oak in this space too, so once that new carpeting is installed, our staircases will essentially be finished, which is very exciting!!!

THREE: Dive back into our primary bedroom and ensuite.

Things have been at a total stand still in here since Brady started ripping out all of the old walls and floors in here in the Spring, mostly because I was feeling very indecisive about what exactly my vision was for these spaces. Luckily, things have started to click for me and I’m finding myself feeling a little more sure about what direction I’d like to go in here. I’ve got most of the materials figured out for our ensuite and I’m excited to start tying some of those design elements into our primary bedroom design as well. Stay tuned friends, I’ll have more to share on this soon!

FOUR: Updates for our Living Room.

We’ve got a few updates for our main living room space in the works at the moment. Noting too major in terms of renovations per say, but a few furniture and decor changes that will definitely go a long way to making this space feel more comfortable and cozy for our little family. Planning to share more on this soon!

FIVE: Swap out our exterior lights.

I hummed and hawed over our new exterior lights for far too long, feeling so torn about which way to go, but last week I finally took the plunge and ordered up these new lights. I cannot wait to see them all switched out!

That’s it my friends – the five tasks we hope to tackle through the Fall ahead. Do you have your own to-do list this Fall? I’d love to hear what you’ll be working on in the comments below.

Wishing you SUCH a lovely day my friends!ย
