How to design a charming farmhouse powder room design full of character.
Well hello friends!
Welcome back to Week Two of this crazy One Room Challenge journey!
You may remember where we started last week (how could you forget?!)…
And here’s a little peek at where we are with things today…
Basically, we’re two whole weeks into this challenge and we’ve done absolutely nothing.
At least we’re collecting some materials…
We may not have made much progress yet, but we do have some pretty big plans for the space…
First, we’ll be replacing that old door that so conveniently opens right into the back door of our house with a pocket door that functions so much better in the space.
Once we get the walls built back up, we’ll be laying some pretty gorgeous foundations with this creamy marble hex tile from The Builder Depot – they have the best product, for the lowest price we’ve come across and on top of that, offer incredible service to their customers! I couldn’t possibly recommend them enough!!!
We’ll of course, be replacing all of that old trim with something a bit more farmhouse.
Ya’ll know how much I loooove white, and don’t get me wrong, they’re be plenty of light and bright white in the space, but friends I cannot wait to bring a bit of this pretty green into the space.
And, not only will I be adding a bit of colour to our new powder room, but even better, I’ll be doing it with this gorgeous Lisabetta Damask Wall Stencil from Royal Design Studio Stencils!
I’m still thinking about whether or not I should bring in a bit of shiplap into the space as well.
I’m pretty darn excited to replace that ugly oak vanity with this GORGEOUS piece from BuildDirect! I just love the richness of the wood and the style is so timeless and classic it’ll be the perfect fit for our new powder room!
I can’t wait to top that beautiful marble counter top with this Cassidy faucet from Delta Canada.
And of course, a few other accessories to match…
Finally, with it’s chrome details and milk glass shades, I really think this vintage style light from Wayfair Canada will be the perfect addition above that vanity!
My goodness, we’ve sure got our work cut out for us!!!
We are SO incredibly lucky to be teaming up with some AHHHHHMAZING companies as we take on this crazy renovation! Sending out SUCH a big thank you to the following companies for sponsoring this makeover (and making it so easy to recommend them and their fabulous products!).

Finally, because I just cant help myself, let me just break it down one more time (ya’ll know how much I love my lists!):
– install new pocket door
– tile bathroom floor
– stencil walls
– add planked walls and paint
– replace trim
– install new vanity
– install faucet, towel and toilet tissue holders
– install new toilet
– install new lighting
– decorate!

YAY! I can’t wait to see! I LOVE that stencil – gorgeous. My vote it no shiplap… lol. But I’m not all that farmhousy, and you always make the shiplap look amazing!
Hahaha! Well we may or may not have already purchased some tongue and groove, but we’re planning something a bit different this time around. Thanks so much Lindi!
I’m so excited you’re stenciling a wall again! I loved the first stenciled wall you did. The vanity is amazing!!

I’m so excited that you’re going GREEN in here! That’s a gorgeous shade!!! I have to say that my living room has been that color-ish for about 8 years now and I still love it. Looking forward to seeing the progress!
Awwwww, yay!!! It’s definitely a bit out of the box for me, but I can’t wait to see it in the space! Thanks Bre!!!
Ahhhhh!!! It’s going to be amazing! I love that green color that you chose and it’s going to go perfect with that stencil. I vote yes on shiplap..I mean, when would I NOT vote yes on shiplap. I recently added a small faxu shiplap wall behind my toilet in our bathroom and I love the character that it added to the otherwise boring space.
Thank you SO much Chelsea!!! I can’t wait to see the stencilled wall and we voted yes on that shiplap too! 😉
Kristi, that stencil will look amazing! And I am always for some shiplap…. 🙂
